I have no idea why, but when I hear that song by Mick Jagger that was written for the Alfie soundtrack, Old Habits Die Hard, I don't cry or anything, but I am deeply affected. The lyrics and Mick's vocals and the music are just so beautiful. It's one of my favourite songs now.
Does anyone else feel this way? Anyone else like the song? |

Yeah, I like that song too, but I don't feel nothing special when I hear it!

I fucking love that song. Its the best thing Jagger has ever done solo. I feel a bit too when I hear that song.

The movie is awful! |

I agree that the film is awful. Then again most remakes are. Jaggers vocals are tremendous. I dont think it could have ever been considered for the new Stones album because Dave stewart wrote the whole song. I think I read in an article somewhere that basicaly the only thing Jagger added to that track was the ad lib in the end.
Cracking tune though.
And Blind leading the blind is another cracker. Very slow, but again Jaggers vocals are supreme. Im not sure who wrote most of that. |

Great song - and I too feel a tinge of remorse for the long line of gals and guys left in my midst.
Then again, I'm always trying to add to that line, so while there is remorse, it does not shout down the thrill of the hunt.
If one has lived the song, they understand it fully.
Jagger has lived it more than most! |

I know you want to add me to that line. Admit it. |

Left in my midst? Do you perhaps mean "left in my wake"? Or "Left in my dust"?
Just wondering.
I think this picture of Johnny is more androgynous -
but not more beautiful.

Some people just have that ability.

And I have yet to find him unattractive in any of them. |

Nope, even that one. But that one was more about his personality..., and eyes. What can I say? |

You can't always get what you want, but sometimes, you get what...ah, you know the rest.
The weekend is here and I'm off to Vegas for a few days of business and pleasure. Gonna spend some time at the Foundation Room. Wanna come? |
