[Edited by Nellcote]

Bloozehound I'm about to go hop aboard that Vain train myself, its caught on like wildfire, everybodies raving about it, saw dwight perform one of the new songs on Leno the other night, it rocked harder than the Stones new song, and Dwights country, kinda sad when I can type that with a straight face

think i'll swing by the used bins too

lotsajizz GnR....Use Your Illusion 1 and 2
June 16th, 2005 01:16 PM
mac_daddy did you ever see the baby huey cartoon..? about a clumsy elephant...?

so dwight has a new album out..? is it supposed to be any good..?

____

i have been listening to STONES...

the complete millard tapes
laid in the shade (vol 1) - excellent collection of outtakes; not much new, but a VERY nice job of putting them in the same place, and very clean transfers/sources, too)...
"cocksucker blues" - with an even nicer sounding brown sugar alternate, along with some very tasty cuts from europe 73
the dallas rehearsals

and looking forward to checking purrcafe's j thunders DVD with the voidoids footage (but i cant start the download until the ronnie and fiends show finishes uploading and is sufficiently seeded).

Cant Catch Me Frank Black -- "Frank Black"
Sparklehorse -- "Good Morning Spider"
Sugar -- "Copper Blue"
The Replacements -- "Pleased to Meet Me"

For me, a selection of modern rock. Enjoyable, but too many of the songs/bands sound the same. Like on modern rock radio 75 percent of the bands try to sound like Nirvana but do it badly.

VoodooChileInWOnderl Frank Zappa "FZ:OZ"

By far this is the best live album officially released by the Zappa Family after Frank passed away. From the short tour of early 1976, this was recorded livein Australia.

This was the last tour as the Mothers of Invention, and this was the smallest band touring with Zappa. The band consisted only of:

  • Frank Zappa - Guitar and vocals
  • Napoleon Murphy Brock - Sax and vocals
  • Roy Estrada - Bass and vocals
  • Terry Bozzio - Drums and vocals
  • Andre Lewis - Keyboards and vocals

Tasty solos from Eric

Also listening to lots of Stones boots lately. My favorite being Ace of Clubs from the 2003 Astoria Theater show.

haven't heard it in years - further to the thread about music reminding you of stuff - graffitti reminds me of the time i was about 20 and stoned on good weed almost constantly
