Nasty Habits Now, don't go tellin' people to buy EVERYTHING on Sympathy, SS. You get some pretty shitty records that way. Speaking of the North Star Bar, this very evening a very fine band called the Ponys is going to be saddlin' up in there. Doubt you could make it by this point, but their In the Red LP that came out this year is a pretty fine slabowax.

Sir Stonesalot >psst..., Bloodshot Records...don't tell anyone...

hey, what happens when Mr. Young expires?<

Yeah, Bloodshot has a good stable. Damn good.

And Nasty is right...not EVERY record put out by SFTRI is worthwhile, so I sorta take that back...but it is a lable to look for good Rock n Roll...as is In The Red.

Well when Mr. Young expires...bad things will happen. Monkeys scratching people's hands in the night....Dog poop on your shoes....Yer girl will get terminal wolf puss....dogs and cats living together in harmony...CHAOS!

And one sad knight in shining armour

Same kinda things as when Keith or Little Richard pass on...

beer it may seem like a cliche, but its true. rock and rolll will never die. the blueprints are there and they always will be. kids will always find something that they can relate to, or it will find them, either way works. most of the time, the best r-n-r that is made, usually has a deep respect and knowledge of the past, or the greats that came before them. and a genuine love of it.Then again sometimes it doesn't at all, and it's based on a complete rebellion to what came first. but there's really no rules to it, that's why it can always exist and thrive, people can put their own spin on it and interpret it any way they want. The whiTe Stripes had a massively popular single with a song that was in open tuning and had a slide guitar on it. 7 Nation army. love 'em or hate 'em, thats pretty cool. i think so anyway.

Seventeen and a half is still jail bait!

Norton records just put out a pretty damn good version of "Spider and the Fly" as covered by Mr. Williams on 45 RPM.

Prodigal Son As long as younguns like myself enjoy the power of rock n' roll, it won't die. There's no way. Maybe commercial mainstream is doing a damn good job of snuffing out its voice, but it's out there.
And if Neil expires? Or Keith, or Mick or to a lesser extent Bob Dylan (but Neil is my most favourite because he's still vibrant today and I've got a big attachment to him and his music), I think I'll lock myself up for a week playing their records over and over. Sadly, one day all our heroes pass on.

" Only Women Bleed "
Alice Cooper
(A. Cooper/D. Wagner)

" Man's got his woman to take his seed
He's got the power - oh
She's got the need
She spends her life through pleasing up her man
She feeds him dinner or anything she can

She cries alone at night too often
He smokes and drinks and don't come home at all
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed

Man makes your hair gray
He's your life's mistake
All you're really lookin' for is an even break

He lies right at you
You know you hate this game
He slaps you once in a while and you live and love in pain

She cries alone at night too often
He smokes and drinks and don't come home at all
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed

Black eyes all of the time
Don't spend a dime
Clean up this grime
And you there down on your knees begging me please come
Watch me bleed

Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleed ................. "
