Mick's Girls (Documentary)

Mick Jagger is almost as famous for the women he's slept with as he is for fronting the world's top rock act, the Rolling Stones. Over the years, Mick's girls have inspired some of the greatest rock songs ever written. This documentary looks in detail at his two marriages, and features interviews with former lovers, including early girlfriend Chrissie Shrimpton.

No. Its a new programme.
I know the programme youre thinking of, though, the one which concentrated on 5 women linked with the Stones down the years (Bianca, Marianne, Anita, Jerry and Mandy - if I remember right) which was on a different channel last year or so.
This one is just about Mick. |

but you cant videotape a programme on TV in Europe on NTSC (the US format) and vice versa as we use the PAL system. The two are incompatible.
Although most modern PAL videorecorders are multiregion and have NTSC playback facility on them, it means that we can, for example, WATCH tape sent to me from the US but we cant actually RECORD on them in NTSC format.
I'd be happy to send you a copy of it but unless your VCR is multiregion (which seems a lot less common in America than it does here) you'd have to get it transferred before you could watch it.
The only other thing I can think of is that maybe someone will get it transferred to video CD or DVD which would play on most PC's. |

Luxy, I helped the journalist from the BBC with the Anita portion of the one that was mentioned by Zeeta. It is from a program called "Fame, Set and Match." This episode was called "Rolling with the Stones," and focused on Anita, Marianne, Bianca, Jerry, and Mandy Smith.
I can make you a copy easily if you want. |

Oh she did ok..in the last couple of minutes!
Usual downmarket tongue in cheek type of programme. Silly but mildly entertaining, although not with a few factual errors (e.g. did you know that Brian Jones' death threatened the very future of the band? No? Neither did I..of course had he still been IN the band when he died it might have done)
Keith Altham was funny as always. The guy should have his own TV show. They also interviewed the likes of Pat Andrews,Tom Keylock, David Dalton and that guy who was Mick's chauffeur until a couple of years ago and who wrote a book on his years as driver to the stars.
Of the women - well, no interviews with Marianne, Bianca,Anita, Jerry, Luciana or L'Wren but they did hear from Chrissie Shrimpton, Janice Kenner, Cathy James, some bird with lips as big as Mick's who he was shagging in 1982 and whose name escapes me right now and the always delicious Natasha Terry. Oh, and what sleazy programme on rock star misbehaviour would be complete without the ever present Pamela Des Barres. Basically, the gist of the programme was that Mick's a bit of a naughty boy and he likes eating pie. A lot. |

Well, the women mentioned are ex-girlfriends , women scorned etc. Luciana still has a relationship with him of sorts in that they have a young kid so I guess she's not sufficiently 'removed' to take part in a programme like this one. Marsha Hunt wasnt interviewed either.
They also spoke to a few more people. Some woman who was a friend of Mick and Jerry's, plus Sally Arnold who was Jade's nanny.
Basic conclusion re : Mick's wives
Wife #1 - hard nosed, humourless bitch. Despised by band members and not liked by staff.
Wife #2 - long-suffering saint. Popular.

Oh yeah, I've seen her (Marsha) on chat shows a few times. She still looks good too.
She's usually quite reluctant to over-dwell on her relationship with Mick, though.
And Luciana - er, yeah. My feelings exactly!

I have Marsha's book...God, it's a boring book...up there with "Stone Alone." I had to make myself read it...she doesn't give up any good info. I applaud her for not dishing dirt. But she could have dished a little w/out coming off as a 'slut.' I'm not asking her for a tell-all, but it wouldn't have hurt to describe--in a ladylike manner--a few of her sexual experiences w/ Mick or DeNiro. I have respect for the woman...Karis really turned out to be a respectable, intelligent, lovely young woman...and a Yale graduate at that.
I wish Anita would come out with a tell-all...damn, that would be good. But I know she won't...and that is part of the reason I have respect for her.
Gazza, I've read about Janice Kenner and Catherine James, and have never seen pics of them. Are/were they pretty?
