We already did it, you gave us a sample LOL, we can switch to that fromat for free for example http://rocksoff.org/board and not just that we will save some monthly bucks as we pay for this message board as well for the hosting of the website so the new board will be included in that hosting.

Our experience since we started as GOIN' HOME in August 1998 is that everytime we move we lose regulars, of course in this case we could leave this board closed (remember that by accident if we leave an additional space in the ban area all the regulars are banned) with a header saying this board was moved and an hyperlink to the new one.

We have not discussed this but could be an option.

In the case of http://rocksoff.org/foro the header can be just a few HTML codes so it could be an image and not the header with texts and all those links below the header

Also if you see our board in Spanish, the mian board gets 95%+ of the visits and 98% of the posts.

What, ya need a cattle prod in yer coffee?

VoodooChileInWOnderl Other problem will be the bandwidth for the website "rocksoff.org" if we move the novogate board to that domain and hosting; actually we have more than 100 GB per month (with no music or video files) at rocksoff.org so if we add the heavy traffic of this board we'll need a lot more bandwidth.

VoodooChileInWOnderl In fact this is the whole source we bought the domain trough a Canadian company, the hosting in Mexico City, the server is in Mexico City with another twin in New York City. Operating system is Linux, Apache version is 1.3.34 (Unix) Kernel version is 2.4.31 Machine Type is i686 PERL version is 5.8.7

Bitch I like the RO board just fine, except I would change the yellow font to dark blue or black, I can't see it very well. It's difficult to read.

Oh so "techy", Voodoo!! This format is fine and you know, we Yahoo's are used to it. Only change whined about consistently is the setlists. Just keep up your fine work and if you do decide to change things up.....ah maybe it better be slowly.....

I would have difficulty staying around if formats were changed. it would not be a wise use of ADDA.

Paranoid_Android It's all a matter of what we are used to...I belong to another BB (not a Stones one) that has changed twice in about 5 years...you get up to 300 posts...then BLAM...a big change...you fumble around...get your eyes used to it...it's OK after a month or two...then 6 months later BLAM BLAM!!
Another change...slowly you see old familiar names drop off...then new ones come along...but you post less and less...

If it ain't broken...don't fix it...unless, of course, it is broken...then plz fix it...only an admin would really know...

but if it isn't really needed to fix...leave it...just give a month warning if it will change permanatly.

Highwire Rob I'm glad there's another thread on this topic 'cause leaving this board for a few days means missing too much!

The white font is kind of snazzy. But PLEASE PLEASE Do not drastically change the layout of this board. Truth: I have never posted on another Stones board (not that they're missing me )

What lured me here, and here alone:

  • The best pics! and featured so prominently;
  • The black background that brings out those pics and fonts so well;
  • The fact that the screen is not littered with sub-threads;
  • ALL THE CRAZY CAST OF CHARACTERS!!!!
