Tom Foolery Is it worth it to pay the $100 to join Rollingstones.com fan club in order to get access to the presale for upcoming shows? Or can you still get good tickets if you wait for sales to the general public? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

LSTNT If you have an AMEX card, they seats they have offered have been very good at Gillette and Giants Stadium.

Just go to the TM site and the show you want, I had better luck with the general AMEX over the Gold AMEX, the only thing you have to do at the end is use an AMEX card to pay for the tickets. I did this for both Gillette and Giants Stadium yesterday and got great seats.

I just checked on TM and actually got
better seats offered to me using the
+$100 new fan club category than I did
using AMEX Gold Card category.

It differs a little by venue and event,
but in order to use the AMEX category,
you just have to use your AMEX to pay.
To use the AMEX Gold category, you have
to enter the 800-number off the back of
your card as the password AND use the AMEX
Gold Card to pay.

Just now I was offered Section 1 at Giants
with the AMEX Gold and Section 2 with the
"new fan club member $100 added" deal.

Thanks LSTNT and SV. I was not aware of this option.

heres the best, most straight up advice you will ever get regarding Stones tix:

go to the venue an hour before the show and buy a ticket on the cheap off a fan who's jackass "friend(s)" stuck him with a $450 ticket.

we're talking substantial discount.

and the fan club is a joke. The virtual in Virtual Ticket is that its virtually the same boring shit on their all the time.

I think you can alwasy get a ticket this way except for club shows...even MSG these days, and tons for stadium shows!!!

I didn't buy them....just checking what is being offered.
By the way...there are TONS of good seats available.

As JB would say...."wide open"

Saint Sway the club shows will sell out in under a minute - like in 03.

These tix must be bought for $$$$K thru legitimate ticket brokers.

be wary of any online sales (Craiglist, ebay etc)

Don't decide on Boston yet. What if the Beacon show(s)
never materialize?

Montana will be the only stadium show I attend. They all blow. Tired of them.

will only do MSG, Vegas and club gigs.

It was a little tight at the Bowl. Other than that, $20 for Anaheim (twice) and $90 for a $400 ticket close to the stage in Fresno.
27th July 2006 03:12 PM
Saint Sway I say none of us buy tickets to any shows.

then all gather outside a heavily undersold arena and let Cohl's flackies paper us in
27th July 2006 03:16 PM
jb Would love to do Vegas...........stay at 4 Seasons (private entrace)

There's a private entrance at Wynn, too.
We kept running into Sting in the private elevators in April.

Tom Foolery So the RS fan club for presales is not worth it? I don't have an AMEX card so that's not a possibilty. Strictly for the stones fan club; worth it or not?
28th July 2006 05:28 AM
Gazza depends on the show. If its a stadium show, then id definitely say its not worth it

How good the fan club presale offer seems to work appears to vary from show to show, but if you ARE going to get lucky with tickets in the first few rows, its probably the best way of doing so. And at least you get e refund if you dont use your presale option

However there are so many other free presales, post sales and tickets that mysteriously go on sale at various unannounced times between now and the date of the show that its an absolute joke of a system. Just dont make the mistake of using your presale code to settle for shitty tickets thinking thats all that youre going to get. If you get offered crap, get them on the public sales instead and get your refund.

We recommend only purchasing $450 tickets if you are not going to purchase the Fan Asylum Package or the Hot Seats! They deserve all we can send them!!!! This one is for the kids, so lets let our wallet speak loud! I expect the $450 section to be full of Rocks Off and Shidoobee members!!!!
