i found this bit while trolling around in the July 20th edition of the Saturday Nation out of East Africa. this is the STONES CONTENT of the article only. click the link for the whole article..
Mick Jagger: Talking of the lead singer of Rolling Stones, his drummer Keith Richards (that semi-conscious-at-the-best-of-times artiste) once touched an unearthed mike with a metal drum stick during an Odense concert in October 1965. The shock knocked him into Jagger, who then touched two live mikes that sent Brain Jones hurtling into Bill Wyman. For a few minutes, all the Rolling Stones were knocked out by electricity. Then Jagger came to and revived them by slapping them on the face (not pouring cold water on them). The show rolled on like a stone.

Christ this is hilarious...not least because of the mistake with the instrument in question. Keith WAS almost electrocuted onstage - in Sacramento in 1965 (the story about the whole band being KO'd is bullshit though). Was there something similar in odense too? First Ive heard of it!

it must have been a hell of a shock if keith was playing drums and it "knocked him into jagger"...i mean, what happened to the drum kit??...
shades of spinal tap's constant drummer problems

i,ve just had a thought inspired by that story and the pic. of charlie holding the guitar in the '68 header...instead of us all constantly bleating (ovine reference for joey)for set list's with more variety and unusual choices how about they vary the line up through the gig e.g. keith on drums, mick on bass, charlie on guitar while ronnie sings a tune and all combinations thereof...
now that would keep things interesting!!
p.s. not only do i want to hear them do moonlight mile i want to hear charlie sing it

"bleating (ovine reference for Joey)"
That's outstanding! I'll be chucklin' about that one
Not bovine, not porcine.
OVINE!
It's all ovine these days.

The songs off Exile always sound good live.
I really was saying that to myself
Tumbling Dice, Happy
