Pirates director’s fears over Keith Richards fall !
Washington: ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ director Gore Verbinski worries that Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards might fall off again while filming for the third instalment of the hit series.
Richards will be required to climb the stairs of a pirate ship and nervous director Gore Verbinski fears that he might just have another tumble.
"For a guy who falls out of coconut trees, those steps could be a problem," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
The legendary guitarist suffered a concussion in his head after falling off a coconut tree in Fiji islands last April. He had to undergo surgery subsequently and recovered just recently.
Actor Johnny Depp, who stars as Captain Jack Sparrow, has revealed on numerous occasions that he modelled his Sparrow character on Richards' mannerisms.
Following his recovery the guitarist agreed to join the cast to play the father of Depp's character.
In 1998, Richards had another run-in with gravity, hurting his ribs in a fall from a ladder at his home library in Connecticut. |

London: Legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has requested ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ directors to let him parody his near-fatal fall from a palm tree in the third instalment of the hit series.
"Keith thinks it would be great to make his entrance by tumbling out of a palm tree. The director's trying to work out the logistics," the Daily Express quoted director Gore Verbinski as saying.
Only a few hours back had Verboski expressed his fears that Keith might fall off the stairs of the ship while shooting for the film....
