Columbus crowd humiliated them when they played Sway, Pittsburg did not sell well last time and Cleveland's arenas/stadiums will not pay the large guarantee that Cohl demands!

one of the few times that the venue was crowded during opening act (Black Eyed Peas had to deal with horrible echos in Fenway due to the place looking like a 2005 New Years Eve Show at MSG!)

not too many crossover fans for both acts in Pitt I would say though? although probably more PJ fans who like the stones than vice versa....but the PJ fans complained like mad about the $50 ticket prices, so they were probably not thrilled about paying Stones (see: top grossing tour) prices.

I know. Pittsburgh was the only the largest crowd in the history of PNC Park. Larger than the Springsteen and Buffett concerts that preceeded it.

AC? My hometown... How sweet. This means no need to book a room anywhere... Saw them thee in 1989, I heard they've completely redone Convention Hall, I'm assuming that's the place...

pdog you are from AC? howdy neighbor...

Convention Hall/Boardwalk Hall same place right?? right near Caesars casino?

I recall that during the PJ set, Eddie asked the few that were in attendance if there was a baseball game being played because he could see the entire infield (wide open)

yea... i hate to but i have to agree with you...

they should stop these big tours and just do little surprise gigs here & there, playing only rare cuts and old blues...

how cool would that be...

Yes... Ventnor NJ... I believe Convention Hall must be Bdwk Hall... I look forward to spending alot of money and seeing AC again... Last time I was at the shore was last summer, and didn't think I'd be going back this year!

Jumping Jack It's like Gen. Sherman all over again! You'll have to come up to NYC for Giants Stadium.

Giants is a real possibility if we can't get Beacon tix. Why do I see nothing but $2k VIP packages being sold for the Beacon?

Churchill Downs might be another possibility. Drake better get us a damn fine boot in his hometown.
21st July 2006 11:29 AM
glencar Ordinarily I would avoid Gints but I'm betting Beacon will be impossible.

ahh very cool.. my brother lives in Somers Point...already emailed him about seeing if he can get tixs and to confirm the rumour...he has media/political connections, or so he says haa

i missed the Stones last time they were in AC (1989?) so this would be fantastic...
21st July 2006 11:45 AM
glencar If tix go on sale at a certain time, I will need you to buy some for me! I'll be out of country Aug 17-23!

Jersey is our most corrupt state. I hope "the people" get all the tix this time!
