Blah blah blah...the press disses the Stones again.
But why not attack other acts? Like the Monkees and Paul Revere and The Raiders. These two groups are playing over at some casino over across the state line in Mississippi.
Why not attack them?...Because those acts are irrevelant and no one cares. That casino venue must be one notch above the county fair circuit.
And furthermore so Mick's jeans are too tight. Those raiders are still dressing in revoutionary war costumes.

It is sad when you see some of these groups on tour with barely an original member in the current line-up. It just isn't the same sound. Both the Who and Stones are guilty of this. When you lose 2 key members of a 4 member band like the Who has and replace them with musicians who are good, but no where near as good as Keith and John, the entire sound changes. In the Stones case, they've got about 50 people wth them on stage, and all you hear now is Bernards voice and Chuck's keyboard. I know this topic has been discussed many times on this board, but the Stones need to go bare-bones at least for the club gigs and scrap all these other back-up people. That's what makes the b-stage so special at the big gigs. |
