19th July 2006 03:50 PM
Saint Sway Sorry Dan. But that wins you zero points. All the bands you like are dreadful... Metallica, Queensryche, New Queen, New Cars, Journey, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Blondie, Foreigner, Whitesnake...
19th July 2006 03:53 PM
Some Guy thanks to you tube I rediscovered Tesla!
19th July 2006 03:57 PM
Dan More slander, I do not like Foreigner. But any attempts at insults are taken as compliments from a cover band loving music snob.

For free. With backstage pass and free beer. Got to stare at what I think was Lauren Holly's ass in the beer line.

and New Queen

99 cents plus $14 Fed Ex. But it was a good show, it was worth it to watch Brian May.

when the boys regroup, you will rue the day.

Saint Sway also Def Leppard sucks

Aerosmith & Lenny Kravitz suck twice as bad

I can only assume you went to the Poison/Cinderella show too. Though I cant recall the exact story about how you got a free ride from your mom and scalped a ticket for .99 cents on the condition that the poor guy that you swindeled the ticket out of also had to buy you a beer, a jumbo pretzel and a commemoritive poster for your room.

No, had to miss that one this year unfortunately. It was at the Blockbuster Pavilion a hundred miles out and on the weekend of my moms birthday when my sisters kids were visiting. However, when they play the Universal Amphitheatre within walking distance, I go, for free.

The only shows I have been to this year are:
Aerosmith at Staples Center $40 for a $90 or 100 ticket
Rolling STones at the Forum full face value
Mad Juana at the Knitting Factory $8
New Cars/Blondie free
Ringo All Starr Band free
Mark Knopfler/Emmylou Harris free

and at Amoeba Music (totally free):
Daniel Johnston
Neko Case
Ben Harper
Jolie Holland

Its been a slow year - unlike 2002 to 2004 when it seems I went to a concert almost every day including this one stretch where I did 7 gigs in 5 days.

Some Guy i thought Cinderella were cool.

A few good songs but just a bit too cheesy for me. And it seems like the 2002 show opening for Poison was the exact same as the 1988 show opening for AC/DC.
19th July 2006 04:27 PM
Saint Sway thats quite a run of cheese you've seen Dan.

sorry about the Dokken/Foreigner mentions. My bad.

Unless they throw in more covers, that is probably their entire catalog.

SheRat I always wanted to have an all-chick hair metal cover band called "GreatWhiteLionSnake" but, back in 98, when I sent out the ads to put it together, no one was biting, so I just joined the White Trash Debutantes instead.

Now look how many metal chick cover bands there are...Johnny come-Latelies.
