mac_daddy everything related to stones torrents - this is the thread...
March 14th, 2005 09:46 PM
mac_daddy i know i am kind of hijacking the already-hijacked baltimore '69 thread, but we really should keep all this stuff in one place...

if the thread gets too unruly with "help me" questions, we can start one dedicated to that stuff, too...

but it seems to me we should help eachother keep track of what is out there, esp. since more RO'rs seem to be down with this now

mac_daddy plus, this one (ezt) looks good, and it was just posted...

Rolling Stones

First Night Stand - An Open Invitation To Sex With The Devil
VGP-375

State University, Baton Rouge, LA, 1.6.1975 1st show
This is CD1 & 2 (out of 4 CD's).

Was uploaded late last week by someone else, then banned for being in the wrong format (sound file was one large flac file with a cue sheet for burning).
Was hoping that the dude who uploaded it would give it another try cause I never got disc 4. Sorry if he planned to upload Cds 1 & 2 again later, but here it is for those who missed it.

Discs 3 & 4 of this set were the 2nd show of the day. I have disc 3, but never got disc 4.

Lineage:
Original CD --> EAC Image + cuesheet --> FLAC (Flac Frontend)--> CD --> FLAC (Flac Frontend)

Artworks included.

Disc 1:
01 Honky Tonk Women
02 All Down The Line
03 If You Can't Rock Me/Get Off Of My Cloud
04 Rocks Off
05 Ain't Too Proud To Beg
06 Star Star
07 Gimme Shelter
08 You Gotta Move
09 You Can't Always Get What You Want
10 Band Introduction
11 Happy
12 Tumbling Dice
13 Luxury

Disc 2:
01 Fingerprint File
02 Angie
03 That's Life
04 Outa Space
05 Dance Little Sister
06 Brown Sugar
07 It's Only Rock 'n' Roll
08 Jumpin' Jack Flash

Gazza I'd like to have a bit torrent forum as part of this site in the near future exclusively devoted to torrenting Stones shows, both down the years and from the new tour.

Obviously, I'd prefer to have a large input from those of you who know about these things and who would be more capable than Jaxx, Voodoo and myself about hosting it and helping out those of us who are less inexperienced with the concept or totally new to it.

Voodoo - do you think it's feasible? As we'd only be a 'tracker', its not like we would be storing shows on our webspace or anything

mac_daddy, thanks for highlighting this.

Does this re-posting cure the old posts problems (adding tracks and not requiring the cue sheet to be loaded for burning)?
March 14th, 2005 10:51 PM
mac_daddy dont know - but if i get my hands on it, i can do all of that, no proble - i missed that first time around...

that will NOT happen again - i have firefox set to use a newsreader; i can control the updates, and will never miss another ezt posting again...

anyway, i missed the whole boat, and really want the second show... did you pull the whole thing..?
March 15th, 2005 06:25 AM
J.J.Flash It's amazing. Great idea Daddy! I've already dreamed about it.

Sorry no--when I saw the query about there being no tracks and the posts about the cue sheet, I held off on downloading anything from the seeder.

Thanks for the info.

jpenn11 mac_daddy,

If you missed the '75 opener, you also may have missed the Dead Man Cumming post (5 or 6 cds of '89 rehearsals): http://www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=31401

J.J.Flash Daddy, looks like something wrong happened and it had to be reseeded again. Check it here now:

http://www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=33324

Unfortunately I am not able to get as much bootlegs as I could, since at the office, some network ports are BLOCKED, including the Bit Torrent range 6881:6889. At home, I can rarely use the computer.

I would like to say again that THIS particular thread should be Sticky, since I've noticed that the idea of Mac Daddy was to create a single topic about bit torrent stuff.

Have a great sunday everybody!

Thanks for reposting the link to the old bit torrent file. For some reason though, the link does not seem to work.

JJ Flash,

Which version of Nero are you using? Do you recommend that version?

jpenn11 Stones Madrid 1990

Rolling Stones Perfecto Madrid June 16 '90 SBD Flac
CDR-EAC-Flac
Madrid, Spain

Another great live recording from the Urban Jungle Tour. I thought
this recording was quite common, but when I went to look it up on the web,
it was very hard to find.
Madrid, Spain is the only place where Blinded By Love,,,was ever played.
Unless they done it on the Licks tour, but I can't remember it....
The Urban Jungle Tour was one of the first which the Stones really went
out of their way to sound Good... and they did.
Of corse, this was suppose to be their last tour, which it was for Bill Wyman.
There is some Bonas tracks on Disk 2 from June 17...
Enjoy.............

Date: Madrid
Venue: June 16
Setlist:
Start Me up
Sad Sad Sad
Harlem Shuffle
Tumbling Dice
Miss You
Almost Hear You Sigh
Ruby Tuesday
Blinded by Love
Rock and a Hard Place
Mixed Emotions
Honkey Tonk Women
Midnight Rambler
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Can't Be Seen
Happy
Paint it Black
2000 Light Years from Home
Sympathy for the Devil
Street Fighting Man
Gimme Shelter
It's Only Rock and Roll
Brown Sugar
Jumping Jack Flash
Satisfaction

Bonus
I just want to Make Love to You
Before they make me Run

jay....

I upgraded it to version 6 (nero express 6) as I it came with my new burner. Anyway, I still haven't burned any shn/flac disc. I don't know if I have to put those plugins on another directory.
March 26th, 2005 01:25 PM
mac_daddy can anyone confirm these ffp's for discs one and two of "first night stand (1975)"..?

thanks.

good question.

hopefully, all the folks who download, but do not seed new material, via bit torrent will offer up vines or trees (CD-Rs sent through the mail) to the group here. theoretically, this would be the ideal way to split up the work load, and to also have all these sources trickle down throughout the community here at RO...
