Sadly, I watched the HOmerun contest from Tiger stadium and some horrible local band was playing to a full house....Mike Piazza and Johnny Damon humiliated themselves by joining the band on stage.

even with the fantastic offerings from the fan club and the innovative travel packages being offered, many tickets still available. My biggest fear is that the stones will see a half full stadium and "phone it in" (see bob dylan's show on Sunday).

The Cohl's missed on this one!

jb what are the only two days in the US when there are no professional sports played?
July 12th, 2005 12:06 PM
Lazy Bones Tiger Stadium sat empty last night...

Quite the stir at Commerica Park, however.

There are none of the "Big 4" sports played the day after MLB All-Start game. The other day tis the day before the All-Star game because all the exhibitions that are on this day are not official games. i.e. the home-run derby and old timers game.

Let me retract that, there are a few single $350 seats available, no others though...I believe they refer to it as a sell out since 99% has sold, however, there are a few stragglers out there, which may happen in every venue...

As someone pointed out above, only scattered singles remain at Columbus. In addition, let me correct some more of these inaccuracies. Hartford and Anaheim are both SOLD OUT (these are stadium shows). The only tickets left for TAMPA are limited view seats. Want to buy one?? Let me also add that only scattered singles are left at Phoenix.

Given the prices being charged for these tickets, which in my opinion are outrageously high $350.00-$450.00 , the STONES ticket sales have past all expectations except in a few soft markets. Also, because the tickets prices are so high, the STONES should not be doing second shows. The market just can't take it as we have seen in a few markets already. The fan base can only afford so many $450.00 tickets.

Again, given the fact there was a tour just three years ago and the fact the Stones haven't released anything of substance in 8 years (24 years if you think Tattoo You was their last good album), tickets sales have been remarkable.
