With the upcoming release of Rolling Stones - Singles Vol. 2" this week, heres wishing along with everyone else that the Stones somehow resolve their differences with the Kleins and come out with their anthology sets a la The Beatles.
Besides the material already found on bootlegs, heres a Letterman Top Ten.
1. Anything from early club dates. (Like the tape that recently went up for auction. Beyond the average fans reach.)
2. The tape Keith Richards made when he woke up and recorded Satisfaction from a dream.
3. The fast group version of Play With Fire.
4. Anything written / sung by Brian Jones, esp. homemade tapes in 69.
5. The video outtakes from Sympathy For The Devil.
6. Just a video of the Stones in concert from start to finish at Madison Square Garden in 69.
7. True stereo mixes of all early hits.
8. Ditto one of Exile.
9. An LP of any unreleased covers of blues songs from the early 60's, esp. Chuck Berry. (Look at how Reelin and Rockin surfaced!)
10. Lastly, anything recorded with the Got Live EP and not included on it.
We can dream! |

I would like to see them release the complete El Mocambo show and possibly the 100 Club show (Ian Stewart tribute) from 1986. |
