Hey all. I'm a huge Stones fan who owns every studio and live album. Naturally, I've memorized every note of Keith's guitar, roll from Charlie's drums, and intonation from Mick's voice. Now, I want to move on to the next level of Stones fandom: Bootlegs. I have heard about great tracks like Fuckin' Andrew, Roll Over Beethoven, Still A Fool, I Was A Country Boy, Blood Red Wine, and Cocksucker Blues.
I guess the best question is, "How do I get started, and where should I start?" I am completely clueless in this department, so any input would be greatly appreciated.

there are lots of links here too.
When I started I found it usefull to go through peoples trade lists that are on the web, just to look at how they rate various boots. You get a good general idea of what's geat and what's not so great.
This way you can save time and not be trading for rubbish (this comes later!).

This site (not mine) is quite useful:
http://www.rollingstones.musicpage.com/
Click CD trading lists at left frame and then you can choose live or studio.
there are lots of reviews of bootlegs. |
