Nellcote I had to come back.
One of my most favorite shows.
Small theatre in Bahston, I had balcony seats.
I think '76. Foghat opened, they were sonic at the time.
Just coming off of Fool, I think the lp that year was Stone Blue, anyway, they were great. Winter comes out, he of the power trio by then, with Rick Derringer's bass player, Randy Jo Hobbs. They led with Bony Maronie, exactly the same as off of Captured Live, his wicked pissa live lp. It was loud & proud.....

Nellcote Right, good things are meant to be heard often.
Recognize the stage? This is Knebworth, when Skynyrd just about smacked down the Stones....

Haha - I thought it was the vid where they just about smacked down The Who. Let me see if I can find that one.

Love them, love them, love them. Damn Skynyrd was fine. In fact, they were super fine!

sirmoonie Seldom post Stones in here, but they cruised through Beast of Burden so fine here

sirmoonie Thin Lizzy. Phil Lynott was black. He's trying to rev up the crowd in beginning, to no avail. Too bad for them because they rocked.

Hot damn! Listen to them there geetarrrs!! That was back in the day when the band still followed Keith. Now the band follows Chuck and things ain't been the same since.

I remember reading this from an interview with Charlie from years ago when he refered to the fact that the Stones were the rare exception about a band not following the rhythm section. "In our case I have always followed Keith and Bill does as well. That's not the case with most bands. It may not even really be the same for any other band other than a band that Chuck Berry throws together at the last minute. So I guess it's easy to see where Keith gets it from."

Sadly this is no longer the case.

I'm just sayin.

LadyJane good choice Riffy.

Fuck it.

We should all be happy that we were/are a part of this great legacy.

We gotta stop sweatin' "what could have been". It ain't healthy.

The Stones need NOT prove anything to me.

I'm happy to have had the sense to "get it" years ago.

"night all.

Nellcote We present Tetsu Yamaguchi & The Faces!

Including one fairly inebriated ass shaking songbird on vocals, one rooster haired wicked pissah lead guitar player, one bang off keyboardist, one drummer, who would be completely unappreciated in an incarnation of Mr. Research quartet...Oh, and said band leader, once of the band Free, has fallen off the face of the earth....sorry, no imbed...
