PERSONALLY I ENJOYED THE MOVIE. i dont think it was touted as a biography. it held my interest and seemed possible.
the main idea is that brian jones did not kill himself or get so drunk and high he couldnt swim. that seems less possible to me.being old enough to remember brian it seems to me that some of his essence was really captured here.the
good and the bad. |

That bad huh? |

I shall buy it. It's an important piece of imaginary history. |
|
FotiniD |
Nah, I don't think it was that bad. It wasn't Oliver Stone like, sure thing, but it wasn't bad either.
Sure, the casting for the rest of the Stones could have been WAY better, the direction could use some improvement in certain parts but still I liked it.
My dream is of course the Oliver Stone type of a Stones film, but I guess we'll have to wait a little more for that. It always amazes me how no-one bites the bait here: there's a story that's got everything, from rock 'n' roll to passion, drugs, love triangles, broken hearts, friendship, traveling round the world. It's MEANT to be on the big screen. |

what the hell, I will rent it |

Wait, an Oliver Stone movie is considered good?? WTF??? |
|

Just wait for his World Trade Centre movie.
He's either gonna be America's greatest hero again, or the devil incarnate. |

Or just a bad film maker. |

# Factual errors: Andrew Oldham tries to convince the Stones to take him on as manager by telling them "I broke The Beatles in America." In truth, Andrew's ties with The Beatles (he worked for their manager Brian Epstein for a spell) ended long before The Beatles broke in America. One could argue Andrew's claim was merely a bluff, but being as Andrew became the Stones' manager in April 1963, ten months before The Beatles broke in America, there was no American breakthrough to even bluff a credit claim for.
# Audio/visual unsynchronized: On Frank's first day at Brian's, he goes to the telephone to make a call, but we hear the sound of dialing before his fingers are actually doing so.
# Anachronisms: A scene dated 1959 shows a Robert Johnson album with his photograph on the cover. This is doubly impossible. No Robert Johnson albums existed anywhere until 1961, and it wasn't until about 1969 that any photograph of him at all had been discovered.

time is on my side |
I notice the DVD came out today as well. You can own a copy for $9.99 which is a fairly low price. Even though I heard the movie sucks, I went ahead and bought it anyway mainly due to the low price.
In addition, there seems to be two different versions. One is called not rated and the other appears to be the one that was released in the movie theatres. Does anyone know which of the two versions is best or does it make any difference???

I liked the movie STONED. Lots of sex drugs and STONES R&R! Brian was hot! I will say that the movie suggests Brian was murdered, and I always thought it was an accident due to too much of a good thing. So the movie raises important questions regarding Brian's death, also presents a likely scenario of what was going on at the time. |

I liked best the whole Marocco scenes. Made me fall in love with that era again.
Think of it: the Glimmers and Marianne and Anita and Brian... All in this oriental atmosphere, God! So jealous of that time in their lives Without the casualties of course |

Does Leo really sing in that movie? Brian was definitely murdered as they say in so many media stuff. Looks like it could
be interesting. |

The movie is so boring it even makes the Stones and Brian look quite boring. It really isn't worth the price of a B&P. |
