tbird I just heard on The Hawk 97.5 FM in Phila/NJ area that the album will be called Manhattan Beach and will be out around the second week of August. Who gives 2 shits what it's called. I wanna hear it!

glencar I agree! Although it does seem an odd name.

T&A highly doubt it will be out second week in Aug. No way. And, the radio station is probably just picking up on internet-based rumors of album title.

I'm willing to bet some $ "Manhattan Beach" is not the name of the album.

and sept. 6 is the date.

I agree, Poplar. "Manhattan Beach" is not Stones-ish. It doesn't sound right.

Steel Wheels That stations inside info is no better or worse than ours. Maybe if it was on MMR...

Do you drive a Thunderbird?
July 8th, 2005 11:24 PM
tbird Nope. I drank a bottle of Thunderbird wine at a show in DC, introduced my friend's band, then fell off a 5 foot high stage, cut my head open, among various other drunken antics. Fifteen years and the name lives on...

I can't listen to WMMR for long. It's funny and sad listening to Pierre pretend he likes Green Day and Foo Fighters. What a shame.

Much better name!
Manhattan Beach sounds like a Surf band title, Brian Wilsonesque! No disrespect to Brian Wilson mind!

I agree in that too, but I think Manhattan Beach is a good title anyway.
