Its just my humble opinion, but i think the boys should of stuck with this version. Obvsiouisly musicaly its quite similar to the final version "Tumbling Dice", but this early version is great. Id just rather be listening to songs about Good Time Women then tumbling dices. Dont get me wrong though. "Tumbling Dice" was a great single, great album track and its always sounded killer live. Roll me to the 2002/2003/2004? live versions

You gotta be kidding Alex! - Good Time Women isnt even a properly finished song. If theyd released that it would have simply (and deservedly) been dismissed as a throwaway (lots of these songs on bootlegs only seem like great songs BECAUSE theyre unreleased and most people havent heard them. When they DO put them out, they dont seem quite so interesting anymore)
TD is one of the greatest Stones singles ever released.. a brilliantly crafted and arranged masterpiece
..and its not about dices! Thats a metaphor! |

You know what Gazza, you are very right. TD is a masterpeice. I understand that. Im not just going back on my word, but i think im kind of thinking what you were suggesting. You know, the kind of "Im hearing something that im am not supposed too" situation. Thus it sounds better then it is. this doesnt obvsiously apply to live boots. Im waiting for my Glasgow 82 club show off Marko, says its great, i beleive him too. From what ive heard from 81/82 it all sounds like a good tour.
