Hey Gypsy, i thought that was a pretty good article, considering Rolling Stone Mag did it. I really liked it. I liked how the writer compared the recording in the basement of Nellcote, to be similar to the field recordings of the great old blues players that were recorded in hotel rooms. Exile's got more soul than any other Stones album. i'm listenin to it now. |

I know. I love "Exile." My new favorite has been "Let it Loose." But my favorites can vary from day to day.
I suppose my all-time Exile favorites are:
-"Happy"
-"Torn and Frayed"
-"Loving Cup"

I do have that on DVD, beer. "Dreaming My Dreams"...where Keith and Anita are interviewed. Keith says Marianne has a lot of guts (something to that effect)..."and a great set of tits." Then laughs, exhaling some smoke, then takes a drink of what looks like vodka and orange juice. That part makes me laugh. I'll have to capture a still of it and post it on the board. |
