mac_daddy we gotta name this project, too...

thanks to TornandFrayed, who is hosting another hard-to-find gem...

(not my show/source notes)

The Rolling Stones
Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, Washington D.C., July 04, 1972

Setlist

1. Brown Sugar
2. Bitch
3. Rocks Off
4. Gimme Shelter
5. Happy
6. Tumbling Dice
7. Love In Vain
8. Sweet Virginia
9. You Can´t Always Get What You Want
10. All Down The Line
11. Midnight Rambler
12. Band Intros
13. Bye Bye Johnny
14. Rip This Joint
15. Jumpin´ Jack Flash
16. Street Fighting Man/Outro

Source: "Jack Daniel´s On Tour" CD (VGP-111)

Gen: Silver disc > CDR > wav (EAC) > shn (mkw) > vine source CD

Quality: very good audience (please check the soundclip below)

Length: 73:47

Notes:
This is one out of two outdoor concerts of the tour. The show is marred by a rowdy crowd but the performance doesn´t seem to suffer from this and is excellent: Mick Taylor in particular is on fire. This show also includes one of my favorite performances of "Gimme Shelter".

The recording sounds very good for an outdoor show of the era: The sound is clear and the balance is good (the mix is a bit guitar dominated).

_____

In the interest of time (mine), I am going to only seed one US vine copy. Hopefully others can follow Nellcote's example (see the Gorgeous Girls thread) and pick up a non-US leaf, so that these sources can spread far and wide. Thanks, this is truly an effort for the group by the group

TornAndFrayed mac,
thanks again for your distribution work.

I´ll try to offer shows at STG on a regular basis from now on. One RS show/bootleg every two weeks or so...

[Not sure whether Gazza and celtic_stone should be the remaining leaves on Martha's branch, but that seems to be a straightforward way to get the CD overseas.]

I'll send one to Gazza, and celtic_stone will likely B+P from there... Gazza if you want to offer it up to some leaves - fine, add some letter sign-up slots under your name. If you want to send it on, and let someone else handle the leaves, that's fine, too...

Marhta, I would never "shun" you...I have no idea how this "tree" stuff works. Most of my boots have been purchased via e-bay(although Sirstonesalot and Throbby really got me started). Wishing you and yours all the best.

Hope that takes care of it. Its as easy for me to make copies for the rest of the UK and Ireland leaves as its only a single CD. I'll take on a few more leaves if necessary

headshrinker - even if you cant burn Cds and trade, all you need to do is send me a blank CD & return postage

JB,

sign up as a leaf (an open letter slot under someone's name)...

take the envelope you would send the blank disc(s) in, and address it to yourself. Put 3 $.37 stamps on it.

put the blank CD(s) in it (do NOT seal the envelope)

put that [envelope and disc(s)] into a bigger, manilla-type, envelope. and seal it. This you can send metered from work, metered from the post office, or simply put 3 more standard stamps on it and drop it in any USPS mailbox... Mail it.

The smaller envelope will come back to you (assuming you addressed it correctly) with the blank CDs now filled with music...

I hope this helps.
