its obvious from the attendence figures that Chicago and Boston aren't real sellouts in spite of the 100% reported.

Less people, still "sold out",(sans Japan-wide open as I said) higher grosses=genuis of MC!!!!
Boston only holds 12,500 for a show??????

In earlier reports, it was stated that the two January shows in Boston had 13,392 each night. |

and MSG under 15,000 per show?
Shurely shome mishtake!
I would say 39,682 for the two shows is more likely than 29,682

MSG is a few hundred below what was sold for the Sept show but with the video wall blocking out seats behind the stage, its usually in the 15,000 range.
Boston - that was the show where people were going through the upper decks with stacks of $450's and upgrading them though about 12,500 a night SOLD (as opposed to attended) sounds about right. |

Pure Bullshit as THE QWEST CENTER was a complete ' sell - out ' with 17K in attendance .
Also , top ticket prices had a face value of $362.00 .
I am now so upset that I have to leave and take a massive ' soft load ' .
Why did you have to upset your young Joey so .. ?!
Why ?!?! .... WHY ?!?!

the average cost of a ticket on the US leg of the tour was actually $167, which is more than 50% higher than the figure ($100-110 as I recall) that Cohl said would be the average for 95% of the available tickets
But then he also said the theatre shows would cost $50 ..although now i think about it, technically we dont know if he was lying about that as well, because there weren't any..
Interesting to see the discrepancies in the number of $450 tickets that were available between one city and the next. Chicago attracted 300 more people than the New York shows, yet NYC grossed $1.3 million more
Average ticket price, New York = $229.37
Average ticket price, Chicago = $184.87
The fact that the sales were dealt with dishonestly (cheaper tickets being held back when the shows went on sale to encourage panic buying of the most expensive ones) and their refusal to publish officially where each ticket range was located on seating charts was quite despicable.

Don't trust on the ticket prices there, Billboard didn't get that information and they showed prices of other concerts. The attendance & gross are correct. |

Those were repeat markets though. There is still plenty of territory that is untapped throughout the continent. Add in the possibility of a strong second act that will "only" take a million a night and that can boost the sales further. |

But Boston & Chicago are two cities taht have been mentioned for this mini-tour. I'm starting to think that a 30 date stand at MSG is best for all concerned. |
