Their Best: Fair Warning

The other ones you need: VH 1, VH 2, Women and Children First.

Pretty damn good in spots: Diver Down, 1984.

Ignore: Everything after that.

Maxy!

Yup! Yup!

Yes.

The six Roth albums are some of the finest boogie, bump, boogie you can get. I love them - all the naysayers need to dump the cliche'd dislike of Van Halen, and listen to Eddie's riffs and Roth's humor.

They went off a damn cliff when Hagar joined, though - he may be the worst and lamest rock singer in history.

Diver Down has like four original songs on it. Whatchoo Talkin' 'bout Willis?

You got it. Best, with a capitol B! You don't think that covers are, at times, a highlight(s)?!

See the Stones' 1st three albums and side 3 of Love You Live.

Different strokes, indeed...

Well, I'll never say any of those first three are their best though.

But anyway, it's a fine album don't get me wrong. I just think of it as a hastily put together effort with lots of cover songs as padding. The intro into Pretty Woman is incredible. Love to blast that in the car.

When will your avatar "continue"?

Oh it did continue past that point. The comic is on hiatus due to creative differences with myself.

Some Guy I grew up on a steady diet of Diver Down.

I wouldn't say they're their best, either. Just to point out that covers can be enjoyable and that original work isn't always better. Yes, DD does seem to be "padded" will covers, but I think as an overall album, it rocks harder than the others.

And, yes, "Intruder" does rock. A beauty of a summer drivin' tune!

pdog I hate Van Halen... They're like The Eagles in tighter clothes and bigger hair...

When it came out, us Van Halen veterans treated it like Bridges to Babylon or A Bigger Bang. We were all like "Next". But I did see them that tour. Mercy!

That's what I'm looking for. Nothing but kick-ass albums. From anyone: Nazareth, Deep Purple, The Clash, Alice Cooper, Frankie Avalon, you name 'em.

Accept's Breaker is pretty good too.

Balance was a real good album.
So was F.U.C.K.
5150 was good.

0U812 was campy, sappy, key-board filled material. Their weakest album with Haggar in my opinion.

My personal fav is Balance.
