Gimme Shelter I'm just a die hard, and have always enjoyed making up these setlists. Granted they would never perform one of these in its entirety but they do pull out gems once in awhile such as Sway, Can't You Me Knocking, She Smiled Sweetly etc.

Given the current rate of European cancellations, you
may never hit 30!

Yeah, dumpy state! Liked the Indians though. They were lovable losers.

pdog Is Pittsland a cool city?
28th June 2006 10:28 PM
glencar Yeah it it but seeing the Stones there was underwhelming as me balls shrivelled in the icy weather.

MarkP Los Angeles 1981 (2nd show)
Oakland 1994 (October 29)
Oakland 1997 (2nd or 3rd show in series)
Oakland 1999
San Jose 1999
Los Angeles 2002
San Francisco 2002 (both shows at PacBell park)
Oakland 2002
San Jose 2003 (7th row on floor in front of Keith)
San Francisco 2005 (both shows at PacBell park)

Oakland 1999 was probably the best I've seen. Oakland 2002 was excellent also.

I've seen Springsteen 6 times, Pretenders 4 times, The Who 2 times, Yes 3 times, Santana 2 times (in the 70's), U2 twice, Eagles 3 times (once in 1977), Paul McCartney 3 times, Dylan 3 times, McCoy Tyner 25 times (one of the greatest living jazz musicians).

CHIEFMOON A quick review, no long list.:

First- '66
Last- '05

GT- 124, 14 countries.
And to date I still have no formal list of cities.
29th June 2006 06:41 AM
FotiniD Grrrr, these lists make me go green with envy

I've only seen them twice! A mere 2 gigs, Athens 98 and Milan 03! Jesus! I should have been born in mainland Europe or the States, then I'd stand better chances.

How does the saying go, third time is a charm? I'm waiting for it baby! 12 days!
29th June 2006 06:52 AM
WhenTheWhipComesDown I see ChiefMoon has seen the Stones in the Sixties? Has anyone else seen them
during that time? If so what were the shows like? Seems like everyone had
started seeing them in the 1970's and 1980's to start.

some of us have been around longer than others.
I saw four shows between '66 and '69.
The pair at MSG-69 was excellent.
The other pair had their own merits.
