Gazza or should that be..."She Saw me Coming" (great title, what a double entendre..)

some more updates on the new album from IORR as a result of the listening party a couple of days ago :

http://www.iorr.org/onstage/index.htm

The reported song about "White House morality" is called "Neocon"

Nellcote I think this period of wonder which surrounds each album is the best. Folks hunting down info out of every nook & cranny. That LA report @ IORR is great.
Thanks Gazza for that gem of a find...

Monkey Woman All in all, that's exciting news! Great title indeed... I wonder if "She saw me coming" will be a single? Another good sign: they recorded 18 songs from which they can choose the very best 12 or 13... We can hope for an album to make the fans proud!
July 1st, 2005 08:11 AM
Gazza the fact that the mixing sessions have finished and the album's mastering was starting the next day would suggest that the band have now finished all they have to do on the album.
July 1st, 2005 08:16 AM
Monkey Woman Even better, then! If mixing is finished, the tracks heard at the listening parties in LA and London are very close to the end product. It probably won't sound "overproduced" as many hardcore fans feared...

Well, let's give Dutch Michael D. his due, then. He posted the link just a little before:

BTW, I love the pic from the PC on the IORR "New album" webpage Notice that Mick and Keith are actually singing in the same mic, Keith getting his head close to Mick's and keeping his own mic lower...

I just assumed the thread was about the song Hot Stuff or something, so I hadnt checked it before posting.

J.J.Flash Why Keith had to sing another ballad? I mean, he's kinda master when it comes to ballads.... but. Holy Shit..... poor Jay was expecting another Little T&A, 999.......

Why?!?! Why!??!?!

the fact that Keith usually gets two or three songs on lead vocals and only one is reported as being a ballad would suggest that its quite obvious he'll sing lead on at least one up-temp song as well

There wasnt a part that said there would be.
I'm just assuming that, as usual, there will be more than one of them

J.J.Flash The Independent Order of B'nai Brith (Hebrew: "Sons of the Covenant") is the oldest continually-operating Jewish service organization in the world. It was founded in New York City by Henry Jones and 11 others on October 13, 1843. The organization is engaged in a wide variety of community service and welfare activities, including the promotion of human rights, assisting hospitals and victims of natural disasters, awarding scholarships to Jewish college students, and opposing racism and anti-semitism through its controversial organization, the Anti-Defamation League.

KeepRigid She Saw Me Coming is a classic title...sounds like a bootleg fans would've spent years tracking down back in the day.

Neocon sounds...different. Still not sure about including a political song. "Easiest lay on the White House lawn" is about as political as I like to see them get.

And a Keith rocker is definitely needed. It's been a while since Main Offender.

Mickijaggeroo Excuse a Viking whose native tongue is not english: What is a Neocon?

BTW, I will have some additional info really soon, hopefully, so stay tuned.

A bit like a Nazi, just replace Jew with Muslim.

jb Neocons are simply those who believe that the US should spread democracy throughout the world, regardless of the cost. They misjudged the situation in Iraq and will not admit. People like Pat Buchannan and Robert Novack use the tern as a "code " word for their hateful views.
George Bush alone had the power to either invade Iraq or continue the sanctions....he alone chose to send our brave soldiers there, and he alone, must except the consequences.
