How long usually takes a flight from Australia to N.Z. Corgi? |

About 3 hours from where i am.
I am not so depressed yet. But once i see footage of the opening show, and the realisation they really, really aint gonna come here, i will just break down.
Its then that porn will save me.
Ahh, sweet, sweet porn. It is always there for you when you need it.

Mac, as an Angelenos and an audiophile, can you verify that the Bowl is a great place to see a rock show? A lot of SoCal fans have posted mainly negative comments about the venue. I need reassurance as I make my plans for the L.A. trilogy, pending the Palladium (of course). |

i think the hollywood bowl will be a very good place to see the band...
1 - i think it is among the more intimate venues on the tour
2 - the bowl, the seating, the sound system was just redone, with what is touted to be state of the art sound reinforcement, lighting, acoustics, etc...
3 - it will be a special gig, in that it is the only la gig to date, and they dont play there every tour...
4 - tailgating/picnicing/etc. is totally a part of the experience there. the show is on a sunday, which means those of us that work have all day off, to picnic/tailgate and then check the band out...
they should play red rocks in CO - maybe a bit too cold, but they should. how big is that place..?

Any word on the complete Brazil/Argentina set of dates? This silence scares the shit outta Jay.
TIA |

theres no 'silence'.
Those shows are 8 months away. I wouldnt expect them to be announced until about September or October at the earliest. The American tour only starts 3 months after the shows were announced
they never announce tour dates for the non-American part of the tour until long after the US shows have started. There are still several US shows to be added.
On the last tour, the shows for the rest of the world were not officially announced until late November 2002
On the BTB tour, the 1998 European tour was announced in late November 1997, the Mexico (Feb 98) shows were added in mid December and a second one in early January 1998 and the South American tour, which began late March was only officially announced 5 weeks before it started

So basically what you are saying is that all us Europeans have to wait until November until they announce the European leg of the tour?
That really is so far away!
Anybody here own a crystal ball? Well what's the story on the new album release date? It was 85% finished last time we heard so surely it should be at the 90% stage at least?? |
|
Gazza |
mid August for the new album, last I heard (probably the week commencing the 15th)
The Wembley show(s) will probably be this week next year (ie around 17th June) from what I believe so no way will they announce that so early
Its also not helped by the fact that we probably wont know until at least January 2006 whether Wembley will be ready in time for the FA Cup Final in May 2006. |

is there any chance of them playing the fillmore (or similar > club) between the sf/sbc dates and the fresno dates..?

They have a San Francisco show on the 15th November and one in Fresno on the 20th.
Considering they dont play two nights back to back, that only leaves 17th OR 18th November as a possible concert date.
Supposedly there will be a Las Vegas concert on the 18th, in which case that rules out any other shows in that window of 16th - 19th November.
It doesnt look like there'll be more than a couple of genuine theatre shows on the 2005 leg of the tour. New York and Hollywood seem to be the only likely ones as well as the rumoured Atlantic City casino show. Considering there are going to be so few theatre shows, I would be very surprised if two out of the three would be in California.
Assuming Las Vegas takes place, the only way around it appears to be if they played a San Francisco theatre show instead of Hollywood (unlikely) or if such a show occurred on the 2006 leg.
