You know, it seems to me that Mick has not only been shaving his underarm hair but his chest hair since around 1969 or even earlier. Look at the photos of Mick with his beard. He grows a damn full beard and rather quickly too. And the hair on his head has always grown incredibly fast. It doesn't make sense that he would have such intense hair growth from the neck up and be completely smooth from the neck down. I mean he doesn't even have a light train track on his stomach. And those photos of Mick in the 60s under the hair dryer - I think Mick should get the award for the original metrosexual.

Mick's body hair is a light sandy colour and sometimes you think you don't see it in the photos. Note that he has light sandy eyebrows and eyelashes too. If he shaved his chest and under the arms, he stopped around 1978. With age, his chest and underarm hair is getting a light grey. I could see them clearly last summer at the London Astoria Club gig! 
A "train track"? Oh yes he's got one! 
As for underarm hair...
And chest hair as well...
