I mean that the city has turned into the burbs. Borders and Crate and Barrel replaced burned out vacant buildings plastered with Mao posters. Corporate middle management moved in and the rents went up. I used to live in Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast way back when, but not as way back as way back. It's different here now, now though.
When all the artists live in Andersonville (or "the village" give me a break). and Pilsen is up and coming, you know things ain't right.

The first sushi restuarant opened on that corner (damen,north and milwaukee) in 1990.
