Last night at the Phoenix in Toronto was the performance of Exile On Main Street in it's entirety. What a show it was! I really hope a copy of this surfaces...Craig? If so, I'd like to weed it here and help promote the series. Absolutely incredible. It was a 13-piece band (3 of which - brass). When they got to the last two, they reversed Soul Survivor and Shine A Light. "You'll know why in a minute.." boasted Craig. To close out the album, a 13-member gospel choir came out to sing with Shine A Light. After the crowd came back down from the ceiling at it's end, they broke into YCAGWYW. Stellar! Followed were Heartbreaker, Honky Tonk Women, Brown Sugar and Gimme Shelter for the encore.

Highlights for me (*especially):
Casino Boogie
Sweet Black Angel
Loving Cup
Turd On The Run*
I Just Want To See His Face*
Soul Survivor and, of course,
Shine A Light*

Gotta say, Craig (and the band), great job! Excellent series. If I'm not mistaken, there will be pictures on the site to follow. See photo gallery.

Forgot to add...there were three large banners hanging in the club with assorted blk & wht pictures from the album cover. Exile On Main St. Blues was also played as the intro. just before the band took the stage. Opening band - The Beggars.

Happy Motherfucker!! The band Phish also performed "Exile" in it's entirety on several occasions. If I remember correctly they also did "Let It Bleed" in its entirety.
