Wolfgang's Vault is LOSSY !!!

Wolfgang's Vault was already analized by me in the past when GTRM posted the 1978-07-06 Masonic Temple Auditorium concert and all the frequencies were below 14 HKz, really LOSSY !!! The compression was very high, all freq. above 14 KHz were cut off. We could see the classic "hair cut" at 14 KHz.

Even more, the torrent was banned on Dime and Zomb.

TORRENT BANNED FROM DIME and ZOMB !
sorry folks, all the Wolfgang's Vault stuff is lossy.

Wait for a silverCD or CDR of "Going To A Go Go" (DAC-034) instead of sharing this LOSSY crap.

Gonzalo

[Edited by gonzalo76]

I agree, MRD8 uploaded the soundboard for both Pontiac shows and you have DAC034. There is no need for lossy format of this venue.
11th May 2007 05:22 PM
GotToRollMe I got home and uploaded the Silverdome audio to the tracker before reading this thread. I've deleted the torrent from my client and emailed Charlotte to take it down from the tracker when he gets a chance. Didn't know there were better sources of this show out there.

If anyone wants this show in MP3 format, I've uploaded the tracks to Gigasize. The links can be found in the thread here:

Thanks for the heads-up, guys.

I think this may have something to do with the tracker having a new IP address.

Per Charlotte: "Please upload ALL torrents files using the new IP address, this meaning recreating the torrent file."

ALD recordings in 1981..., really interesting.

The 1978 Detroit show was allowed on the tracker because it was not available in lossless format. Did you miss that thread or what?

But, the 1981-12-01 Pontiac show in LOSSLESS format is available and active on the tracker. It was shared by Axl79 yesterday, and previously shared by MRD8. Actually this is a reseed. I'm sure you missed these shows too.

There are plenty of places where you can spread your lossy source from, but don't do it here!

You have to respect the rules on this site!
NO lossy sources.

Well I would say that the majority isn`t reading this thread and therefore isn`t aware that this upload is lossy!!! Maybe there should be an attachment to the title which says "lossy". Just think that in some weeks when this thread is in the archives nobody will know who has uploaded this stuff and that this stuff is lossy without that attachment!
It has absolutly nothing to do with "calm down" it has to do with rules which are here. If you feel to upload this stuff go over to IORR (that place has already been messed up with this kind of stuff) but please - please leave this side how it was intended lossless!!
Thank you

Pauli I think it's better to leave the decision to Charlotte (or whoever is mod around here). There's no point us to argue about it.

My personal opinion is: let's keep the lossy files out of the tracker except few specific cases where the source is not available in lossless quality. Like Detroit 78 and Detroit 81.

Dear axl79 and Gonzalo,

I can only repeat: Calm down and simply ignore what you believe is not worth downloading. If you want to stick with the inferior mono recording of the DAC release, please feel free to do so. This excellent stereo version has never been released before in this quality, just like the Detroit 1978 recording from Wolfgang's Vault (parts of both have been included in the 1978 and 1981 radio shows). 34 downloads in one day prove that you are absolutely in the minority and that there is an interest in this show.
All the best

Sorry, but both Detroit 81 shows are up on the Tracker in exe Mono Soundboard quality.
The Wolfgang's Vault 78 show it's not entirly from Detorit either.

And last , the rules are the rules, No lossy format.

If you want to seed lossy format, please use Pireate bay or IORR , don't do it here. Why is that so dificult to understand ?
