Yes, indeed it's lossy , the original "Tape" or files are in AIFF format. There are no lossless originals. So it's like take or leave it ...

Erik_Snow I put this on the tracker right now :

The Rolling Stones - Static In The Attic
Idol Mind Productions 004
CD -> CDR (Nero7) -> WAV (EAC) -> FLAC (EAC) -> You

Studio 1974 - 1979

Quality:
Perfect Stereo

This is the 2006 Idol Mind Release of the material released on StatiC In The Attic (Midnight Beat) about 10 years ago.
Even though the Midnight Beat release was almost perfect to start with, this may be considered a upgrade. As the case was with a lot of the new IMP releases, the sound is a bit more hissy, but to make up for that - the punch and warmness is perfect.

Artwork included, made fit for jewel case based on the cardboard package

Tracklist

01 Act Together I (intros only)
02 Act Together I
03 I Got A Letter
04 Fool To Cry I (intro only)
05 Fool To Cry I
06 Claudine II
07 Think I'm Going Mad
08 Let's Go Steady
09 No Use In Crying III
10 Claudine III
11 Indian Girl I
12 Summer Romance V
13 No Use In Crying I
14 Let Me Go
15 Indian Girl II
16 Down In The Hole
17 Emotional Rescue
18 We Had It All
19 Mick Jagger interview from 1970
20 My Last Plea III (un-edited)

This is the second recording i do, sound is not excellent but very listenable,
my micro was made with my hand, i used a micro for computer i changed a little, then i thank
it would be poor but finely not !
I was on the back of the stadium, on the sitted places, we hear a few persons speaking
between the songs, but not during the songs.

It was my first show of the rolling stones, I got my ticket last years but I cannot go to rescheduled concert, and I couldn't go to paris during the forty licks tour I was so young and father didn't want to go with me, I believed I'd never see them ! It was a great evening, the rain stoped for the show, even if the stadium was not full, I find the puclic very sympathic. I'm sorry for my english, I'll try to improve it....

I have recorded a part of the show of starsailor, but not the complete set of them, if somebody is interested in this, who send me a pm, i'll uploaded it.

I hope you'll enjoy it.

Start Me Up is definitely on the recording. Listening to it now, some parts are good (CYHMK) and others (Keith set) are just dreadful.

08. Jumping Jack Flash

No notes on lineage, but since this is by the same taper as the Werchter show, I'm guessing it's: Sony Minidisc > WAV > Media Monkey > FLAC (Level 6).
684MB

Uploader's Notes:

Nijmegen Holland June 8, 2007 Goffert Park
Audience recording complete show.
This is a 2nd source from a different taper as the one on RO.
I didn't compare with with the RO recording.
The show is a bit better as well in performance as on recording quality than Werchter. But still it's audience and for the fans only.
Don't download if quality is your only concern.
Thanks again to mister GT for sharing.

Dan It's the enthusiastic crowd singing along en masse which makes Nijmegen an enjoyable listen. Thankfully they are drowning out Bernard on the choruses. I gotta go back to work but will listen to the rest when I get home later.

I think most (probably all) of the Earl's Court shows from '76 are probably in circulation but only two of them (5/22 and 5/25) are soundboards. The others are audience recordings.
19th June 2007 02:27 PM
Your Cousin Lou That may very well be. I haven't heard about any of the other shows though - maybe someone else can give us a rundown of what is out there. (yes, I'm a soundboard snob, unless the audience recording is high quality - sorry!)

Erik_Snow I posted the "Another Earls Court 1976" CD on Dime a few months ago, but it's gone now - as there wasn't any seeders left
Check out the much better "Earls Court 1976", I think it's still active on Dime.

All the shows are available as audience recordings.

To the best of my knowledge, there are partial soundboards of three of them. 22nd, 25th & 27th May.

All 6 shows were taped for use on Love You Live (and some of the LYL songs come from Earls Court) so there are probably more soundboards in the vaults but uncirculated
