Soldatti Good games today, England had a very tough match and Paraguay is out after 2 weak games. We play tomorrow, a very hard one.

Yes, the score SHOUL'DVE been higher. Not so much because England missed chance after chance during the match, but because England have a squad full of top-flight millionaires, while Trinidad and Tobago are a bunch of journeymen lower league players. 8 or so of their squad members play in English football, but only one in our top division. It was poor performance by England in my opinion. We didn’t get our first goal 'till after the 80th minute and I have to admit, I felt sorry for Trinidad. They actually showed the odd moment of brilliance.

England sucked REAAAAALLLY bad. All they did in 90 minutes was cross the ball to Crouch. He really sucks, so the couldnt score. I think they should put the ball down and try to play a little football, because they have talented players to do that (Lampard, Beckham and especially Gerrard)

Be sure you lose, ok!

maumau crouch has a very "effective" way to jump to hit the ball. Trinidad's defender was a veeeeery fair player not to get mad after the goal.
By now Spain e Czech are the best
Brazil and Germany the worst among the favourites.
England is the sleeper
France maybe but it seems they have many conflicts among players
Argentina and Italy look veeeeery solid
Ecuador is the surprise of the game for me, but I still think CIV can make it hard for Netherlands to go ahead

I agree with Spain and Czech being the best, but I also think Germany has performed surprisingly well.

Angiegirl I agree, although I think Germany did really well against Poland (maybe some concern about the defense, but that's the case with most teams these days), and teams like England, France, Brazil, they will prove themselves I'm sure.

Netherlands has a real chance of going down against Ivory Coast tonight, gulp...
There are specialists here who have started saying that Holland maybe even has a better chance against Argentina next week than tonight against CIV. We'll see.

i have seen them against Italy earlier this year and they lose badly and played even worse. So i think you're right, they have played surprisingly well compared to what we could expect, and still they play bad football, basically with no other solution that long crosses from 3/4 of the field for Klose to lead off the ball with his head for a supposed upcpming player. With Ballack in such a bad shape the only great player is Lamm. Still they are among favourites because (1) their group is ridicolous (2) because the host team always get at least to the 1/4 finals.

England with Rooney back in shape can really make some damage this time because they sure have the best midfield players and it is going to be hard for anyone to score against them.
Brazil of course. Even in 2002 they played the least "brazilian" soccer you could dream of and still won hands down.
France I don't know. They look a little bit like old glories but sure Harry, Zidane and Trezeguet (if he evere gets to play) can win against anyone.

Netherlands has a real chance of going down against Ivory Coast tonight, gulp...

I agree. Maybe it is just statistics but I think it is about time for an african team to go far in the game (i mean to the 1/2 finals) and CIV looks like the best team for that.

Honky Tonk Man Nice one Zeeta! Knew we could rely on you!

Actually, I know I probably sound like a bore, but I've opted out of watching any of the matches in the pub this time round! I just want to WATCH the matches, not have to duck and dive to see the screen over everyone’s head and spill my pint everywhere and upset someone!

Depends, if we get butchered tonight by the Africans, I might just feel like killing you on Wednesday, instead of talking to you .

Scot Rocks Argentina playing fantastic 3 - 0 against serbia at the moment and the goal of the tournament so far from Cambiasso. If they keep playing like this they could go all the way!

Gosh, you can't even begin to imagine how much I agree with you on that! But, unfortunately, Van Basten hasn't made any changes to the team today. Let's hope he will bring in the substitues on time...

Go Argentina!! (I mean, hell, if they're going to win the match anyway so beautifully, they might as well score a few more right!).

Hey people, Ronaldo was sent to a hospital yesterday and, as usual, the whole story is a mistery! WTF?!?

Everybody knows he is not able to play, but Nike and the billions dollars attached to him always talk louder.

I´m sure about what Gustavo said about Keith, he has more strenght that Ronaldo The Fat.

thanxs bruno.....

Geez, I guess they quite efficiently beat the Serbs (I'm crying now. Well, not really. But I could be).
