"Got to fight to control!.."

Fuckin right, Gary! Both "Violent Side" and (the 10+ min) "Touch the Night" are the show highlights of mine from the well-known Catalyst run in 1984 (as you know, 2 years before they were officially released).

Brilliant stuff...

Even more bonus points for me...Graham Nash wrote Pre-Road Downs!

When I saw the Crowes at Massey Hall in Toronto a few weeks back, they performed an amazing rendition of Alabama. I nearly fell to the floor. Marc (on lead vocals) did a brilliant job!

I believe in you

P.S. I gotta say. In his early days, he did alot of solos in "D". Cinnamon Girl and When you dance in particular. When i hear those songs, i get such a uplift. I figure "D" is MY chord. Townsehend tried to work all this shit out for "Lifehouse" - you know, "there once was a note". Well, i reckon "D" is my note/chord. Also, to my mind, Like a Hurricane is the greatest love song ever. Man, that fucking solo!! You can FEEL it being wrenched from his very soul. Mistakes, errors, flubbed notes, blocked strings and all.

Anyway, off for more cones. Got some great shit. As you lot can probably tell.

superb list, my Stonesian princess (much of it coincides with mine, which I'm impressed with..), although I'm not sure whether or not you put 'Horse with no name' in there for a giggle. Its not a Neil Young song, although many people down the years mistook it for him. It was by a band called America

Great to see how many people love "I'm The Ocean"

PartyDoll MEG Horse With No Name is a long standing joke, stemming from those "Name that Tune" days. Only You, Mr Gazza, would catch that!

and moonie you are so right, Neil really has much affection for GWB!!!!

Just got the Heart of Gold DVD, have the day off...football or Neil. Hard choice ... me thinks both
