Ulf;
Just think of the ribbing The Human Riff, Keith will be able to bestow upon him. This will be worth it! |

didn't Beatles turned the knighthood off? i think they did.

Mick's social climbing nature has wanted that title for some time now. every year at this time some editorial is written on why Mick should never even be considered, (cited were philandering, drug use, hardly the qualities of a "traditional" knight, but that of a "knight in shining armour, coming to our emotional rescue, perpaps?) i don't think at this point he would reject it, unless of course he "wanted" it so he could ultimately reject it....it IS about "the music" (an emotional rescue, truly), after all, and its contribution to society (so i have recently read). if that is indeed the case, then why exclude all the other Stones?

Am I the only one who takes solace in the fact that he will ONLY be using this title to fuck young girls? |

bluesgirl...The Beatles were each given a M.B.E. This is NOT a knighthood. John later returned his for political reasons. Only Paul & George Martin have been knighted.
Mick can't say no. Not if he ever wants to step foot in Merry Ol' again. |
