MarthaMyDear Oh, Gary, shut-up... lol.................... CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
racking-up!!! lol........ :P

Well, this is who I am HOPING to see but it depends entirely on expenses because pasying off some debts is coming first, which will allow me to see the Stones MORE on the next tour, also!!!

The Who- Hollywood Bowl
Fleetwood Mac- In or near San Diego

That's it so far... But, other things are a priority right now, which is fine as I'll be going to the Sunset Junction Street Festival this year again and they always have some big name acts and alot of bands, etc., for about $5.00 admission per day!!!

ROCK ON!!! PEACE!!!

Pat Scott sang standards. Don't really need to hear "Mustang Sally" ever again. Tourist blues at its worst.

Smokey was ok, but he's old. He did an Emlo James "Dust my Broom" then a BB King type number. He sounded better on the BB tune. I think he did 2 more songs before ending. Last saw him in '95. Good horn section. Several players I recognized from Otis Rush gigs.

Los Straitjackets played a standard set which I never tire of. Eddy joined them. Did several slow blues which kind of dragged but when he kicked into rocker/Chuck Berry mode, they cooked. The Chief came out in full headress before picking up the guitar. He can still play for sure. Gonna go see them in a club tomorrow night.

DJ looked silly shaking his skinny hips singing Wolf tunes. His voice was ok but since it had rained consistently since the end of the first act, we cut out. Hubert was honored by the city of Greenwood, MS, da mayor (of Greenwood) even made it up.

Hopefully we'll have better weather tomorrow so I can hit more stages than just the Petrillo.

parmeda Hey polk...looks like more rain forecasted for tomorrow
I'm going to be playing it by ear whether I head out to the lake or not. I remember getting dumped on last year, lol. That's no fun...and it kinda ruins the mood.

I'm crossing my fingers for some sunshine

Understood. Going to do the same here. I was there last year as well. Last night wasn't as bad but I don't want to sit in the rain again.

Jaxx so far

five dead shows next week
prince late august

still waiting on some announcements........
11th June 2004 01:07 PM
jb How can you call them "Dead" shows..it's an insult to the real Dead heads...
11th June 2004 06:58 PM
Dan Not much coming up, which is good since I spent so much this year already. Maybe Alvin Lee. Probably Concrete Blonde at Amoeba Music. I want to go to Ozzfest and Lollapalooza but probably will just wait for solo headline Judas Priest and Pixies gigs.

Martha - I go to Sunset Junction every year too!
12th June 2004 03:25 AM
polksalad69 Eddy Clearwater and Los Straitjackets in a club instead of at a festival.
