Torn and Frayed I've tried to play the album several times from this site, but it has yet to load up properly.

pdog I'm very excited to own this album... I got that bag of cocaine, cutting up lines on the mirror and farting kinda of excitement...

IanBillen Quite Interested. The realist, most solid, and over-all best band I have heard come out of the past 10 years. They are my favorite group/duo going.

"Elephant" is one of the best albums I have known. "Get Behind me Satan" was a good album. Folky and not the standard but still it has it's place. I liked it.

Now we have "Icky Thump". I gotta go get it.

*The White Stripes album releases actually keep a place in your heart for some reason after you get to know them. More so after they are gone. Like a girl. That says it all. Seriously.

The Neieghbor kid likes them. I only heard them once and that was live. He keeps tryin to get me to give them a spin being as how I dig The White Stripes. It is hard for me to give them a chance being as it is not the Stripes. Although, any time Jack White's name is tied to something I have always appreciated it.

I like and whole heartedly agree with everything the guy stands for.

Silly question.... but Meg does not play drums with them correct?

pdog The drum and bass players are two guys in The Greenhornes, Brendan Benson shares the guitar work and vocals with Jack...
I like them as much, maybe even more than The Stripes, so them live and was blown away...

Jack White was in the Greenhornes?? OMG I did not know that. No wonder they were so awesome. When did they disband?

Mel Belli "Icky" is the best Stripes yet!

pdog, I loved the Racounteurs. It seems that, on "Icky Thump," Jack took the best pop elements of the Racs and injected them into the Stripes. It's by the far their least bluesy album ... But still outstanding.

Either you are fucking with me or I confused you...

The Raconteurs consist of two members from The Greenhornes... I don't think they (Greenhornes) are broke up... They opened for The Stripes most of the last tour... I didn't know who Brendan was before The Racs, but I like his voice and it blends well with Jack.
Dual Mono is my fav. Greenhornes.

Hmmm. Very interesting. Well right now pdog. Just for the time being I am going to have to concentrate on The White Stripes new one.

After summer I will surely give the Raceteers a listen. Thanks for the info and persuation!
