Gazza two acts on the bill opening for the Stones - Danile Lohues & The Louisian Blues club, followed by Van Morrison

Appalling weather, apparently - a heavy thunderstorm

Van Morrison quit the stage after 20 minutes because of the bad weather!

Gunter texts with "it's a fucking tsunami here"

Shades of the infamous show in The Hague in 1998, by the sound of things....!

pdog Isn't tsunami a tidal wave.... Damn, this must be bad... Hope it clears, and they get a great show!

Getting Omaha'd is one thing, being robbed by drunk pirates is another!

Gazza Theyre saying that theyre expecting one more thunderstorm - and the Stones should be onstage soon afterwards..so maybe 40 minutes or so

very early start compared to werchter!

this has the potential to be another humiliating and humbling evening! Did Keith bring his rain stick?

Stray Cat UK They have a history of "upping their game" in bad weather.

Maybe the water will dilute Keith's vodka !

Someone could lose their footing and fall down subjecting themselves to a nasty injury. I predict a 17 song setlist tonite.

The post about the Stones being expected onstage soon after the next thunderstorm wasnt fan speculation - it was an official announcement over the PA system.
8th June 2007 02:06 PM
Strange_Stray_Cat Update: still very bad weather in Nijmegen. An announced has been made that the Stones will play.

THe also announced there would be a ten minute break at the "bomb scare" show. This could be a ploy so that the band can safely escape to a storm shelter without the traffic of thousands of fans scurrying over unsold seats into the parking lot clogging up the roadways.

I hope this isnt the case...but if the scene was ever set to be "Omaha'd"......its today.
