Hello,
I'd like to know which of the songs on the album featured Gram Parsons and what he did exactly (background vocals, guitars, etc).
Thank you...13 days left!!!!!! |

I was wondering, did you get your handle name - Backseat Rhythm - from the killer AC/DC song "Get It Hot" because I think it's in there.
I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to your original question. But I know Nicky Hopkins, Billy Preston, Ian Stewart, Bobby Keys, Jim Price, Bill Plummer, Al Perkins, Clydie King, Kathi Mcdald, Jerry Kirkland, Tammi Lynn, Shirley Goodman, Dr John and Richard Washington were on it.

timely question! i have exile revisited in my cd player now. gram parsons, to my knowledge, isn't credited on exile. all guest musicians and backup vocalists are listed. he could be the "plus friend", a vague reference to a backup vocalist on tumbling dice. |

Nothing Gram played made it to Exile but he was on a Wild Horses take (pedal steel) that's on Itchy Fingers (UI).
He also recorded another version of Wild Horses with Flying Burrito Brothers. |

Yeah, it's my tribute to "Girls got rhythm" from the "Highway to hell" album. Too bad they're opening for them in Germany only! What a killer show...
Thanks for the replies...still searching

Gram Parsons does not play pedal steel on Wild Horses, that's Sneaky Pete Kleinow, Gram's main pedal steel player.
All Stones members including Taylor have always said that Gram Parsons is not on the album, and according to Anita Pallenberg Parsons never even entered the basement were the recording took place. Late rumours suddenly were that the high pitched voice on Sweet Virgina is Gram Parsons, but Taylor recently said that it's his voice.
