nankerphelge Dammit -- AC/DC and the Stones!

No better place to be on Earth!
06-13-03 06:31 PM
Phog I agree. This place was absolutely the center of the universe today. Ah, to have been there.....
06-13-03 07:46 PM

06-13-03 08:12 PM

Strange_Stray_Cat They opened the guitar stand at the b-stage and the list for first 15 songs was in it, lol! I got my pen and paper and started writing, the roadie was giving me a look as if he thought we were weird and desperate. Which we are of course,

O people people. Go see them ACDC if you can, they suck the life out of a Stones audience. People were exhausted after Cranberries, ACDC, sun and beer and halfway through the Stones (escp. after B-stage set), Mick tried, but the crowd wasn't reacting anymore, they were all dead. Even in the front section almost no arms. Mick got a bit desperate and the went away for about 20 seconds before doing JJF as an encore...

What a day.

Some songs ACDC did: Highway to hell, Thunderstruck, If you want blood, T&T, Whole lotta Rosie, The jack. Don't remember all titles, but it was amazing.

Love to all,

Angie and Mark

Strange_Stray_Cat Sorry, but we didn't take any pix. I forgot the film for my cam and Mark had a disposable one but the security came across as nazis so we started to get worried. Not about losing the cam but about us being removed ya know.

But at b-stage, some very pretty pix would have been possible. Anyway, better luck next time maybe.
06-13-03 10:43 PM
parmeda Angie, Mark...you lucky devils! I am sooooo jealous!
Was that the first time you've seen AC/DC?
They kick ass! And you got "THE JACK"!!! Here in the States, that song seems to make women take their tops off at the shows, lol.

Mark...I like your style. Grabs a pen immediately at the first glance of the set list. Very cool...

Too bad you couldn't take any pictures
They would have been to die for...
Bottom line, you guys were knocked off your feet with some great music. Good for you!

And where you were, being "removed" means a helluva lot more than it does in other lands. Yikes!

Thanks for the report, Strayie, especially on AC/DC. I know every AC/DC show I've ever seen has thrashed me out, be tough to get all shanked up for another round, even if it was the Stones!
06-14-03 02:18 AM
littleredrooster Great reporting SSC and Angie!

Were they taking cameras away from fans??
The US leg show security didn't bother us with cameras at most concerts, only challenged at one SF show!
I had hoped European security would be more liberal!

Gotta smuggle in the digicam!!!
