There are thousands of such bands in L.A. so I wouldn't know where to start. Especially since I haven't really been paying attention.

The Casbah in San Diego is pretty awesome as far as rock clubs go, I was there in 1996 for The Humpers and the Candy Snatchers. Traveled over a hundred miles for a 25 min set followed by a 35 min set and it's still one of my all time favorite shows.

corgi37 We got nothing in Australia. Powderfinger and Silverchair start a joint Oz tour soon. The last great white hope band, "Airborne" (more or less Ac/Dc part 2), got dropped by their record company after 1 record. Apart from that, its all crap.

Off topic - Guns and roses play here in Melbourne tomorrow night. Normally for gigs, we have a 11pm curfew. Well, they come on at 11!!! They've already paid the fine (as if they care). Rose Tattoo & Sabastian Bach are supports.
