Great building rhythm
Mick Taylor slide infectious
Wicked Pissa train themed harp
The last Watts drum flourish seals the deal..

Damn Nelly..Why did you do this? At least it got Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band out of my mind. Pretty bad when you open the newspaper and the Beatles are staring at you in full color and the radios are blaring it.
Ok lets sing it loud....
Silver train is a comin'
Think I'm gonna get on now, oh, yeah
Silver train is a comin'
Think I wanna get on now, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
Silver rain is a fallin'
Fallin' up around my house, oh, yeah
Silver rain is a fallin', fallin' up around my house, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
And I did not know her name
And I did not know here name
But I sure love the way that she laughed and took my money
And I did not know here name
And I did not know her name
But I sure loved the way that she laughed and called me Honey
Silver rain is a fallin'
Fallin' up around my house, oh, yeah
Silver belles is a ringin'
Ringin' all around my house, ding, dong, oh, yeah
And I did not know her name
And I did not know her name
But I sure loved the way that she laughed and took my money
And I did not know her name
And I did not know her name
But I sure loved the way that she laughed and called me Honey
I'm going home on a south bound train with a song in my mouth
I'm going home on a south bound train with a song in my mouth
Silver train is a runnin'
Think I'm gonna get on now, oh, yeah
Silver train is a comin'
Think I'm gonna get on now, oh, yeah
And I did not know her name
And I did not know here name
But I sure loved the way that she laughed and took my money
And I did not know her name
And I did not know her name
But I sure loved the way that she laughed and called me Honey
Silver train is a comin'
Think I'm gonna get on now, oh, yeah
Silver train is a comin'
Think I'm gonna get on board, oh, yeah

Because, it's The Stones, dammit!
And, after four tumultous years, my son is graduating from high school tonight.
I am buying a marine air horn to blast at the event, despite warnings to the contrary.
In the same venue where Aerosmith played in 1974...
So, tonight, we celebrate!
I feel a performance coming on...

I love the earlier, acoustic versions of that song...in the same vein as the 'All Down The Line' acoustic....
btw, Peter, I smell a sweep upcoming....
make sure to ready the "Who's Your Stripper" chant for Alex tonight!

Probably true. GHS is one underrated album. Silver train is my fourth favorite song on that album behind Winter, Starfucker, and Heartbreaker. Great song.

Has a special place for me 'cause it's on the only Stones' 45 that I own. Hand-me-down from my big sis.
Taylor tearing it up, YES!
