Yes, that is the 1st incarnation of Paul Schaefer's orchestra. This cut is from Letterman's NBC days, as now he's on CBS. The bass player now is Will Lee. I'm not certain who the bass player was then. David Sanborn, the horn player, still guests from time to time. The band has actually grown in size now, to have a full horn section, as well as another guitarist. Of course, in this cut, you know the guy in the flannel suit. The reference he makes to the contract, towards the ends of the cut, as well that Paul did not get a new contract is wicked funny.....
