The quick Houston sell out surprised me, but tickets were priced lower then other cities. I pulled up 2 good floor seats for $160.00 and second level side and back of stage were going for $60.00. |

The STONES had more concerts on sale today. Surprisingly, many tickets still remain for the arena show in Chicago. Since the show will not be until January 23, 2006, perhaps the residents of the Windy City do not feel the need to be in a rush to buy tickets.
Elsewhere, the news is actually good for the STONES. Concerts in Arizona, Portland, and Seattle are close to selling out and could possibly be sold out by the end of the day.

I'll be curious to see how briskly the tickets sell for the Portland show. I think it is probably the first time a show has come to this town with such steep prices, and I'm interested in seeing how the market responds. The Stones don't play here often (twice in '98 and before that it was back in '66).
I scored my tickets this morning, and I must admit that I'm content but not thrilled at securing two $95 seats in the first row of the 300 level. Contrary to the information on the website, I don't think there were any $95 seats in the 100 or 200 level; if anyone has information that contradicts this, please post it.
BTW, on a random note, I have just two wishes for the upcoming Stones tour:
1. I hope Chuck Leavell is much lower in the mix than he was during the past tour--I swear during some shows he played the main riff to "Street Fighting Man" instead of Keef. Damn, that was unfortunate.
2. I hope they keep the freaking video screens on for the whole show. I'm not sure what the logic was for having the screens turned off for the first few tunes of the last tour. It sucked.

A few hours after the Portland onsale you could still get up to 8 together in the upper deck for $95. Usually those are the fastest to go.
I saw Phoenix 03 for roughly 1/4 of face value.
I spaced off the Seattle onsale by a few mins and was offered decent seats a few times but nothing really worth buying. Someone on another list got a 3rd row single for $95 which is really the only thing I would consider spending money on this far in advance.
I got a pair of GA floors for the 2nd System Of A Down/Mars Volta Long Beach Arena show. Not sure if I am going to keep them or not. |

While it's true there are many of the $95.00 tickets left, the $350.00 and $160.00 tickets are all but gone (only singles remain). There also are no $60.00 tickets left if indeed they ever were that many on sell to begin with. As result, my best guess is this concert is close to selling out. |

You beat me to it. I was just about to make another post to revise the Arizona show which, at this time, is much like Denver and Salt Lake City, completely wide open.
Seattle is currently sold out.

The ticket situation in Glendale has changed with all the lesser priced tickets (all the ones below $350.00) just about gone. However, many of the $350.00 tickets still remain. |

After having very mixed feelings about it, I ended up getting 2 tix for Seattle today.

Well, as probably everyone already knows, the Madison Square Garden concert in New York City sold out. Was it less than the five minutes??? It seems to have been the hottest ticket on the tour so far.
For anyone that didn't get tickets, the concert at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City is wide out with tickets at all price levels still remaining. Anybody interested in going to Salt Lake City????
Well, I'm off to Venezuela for the next three weeks with my family. I'll be going there on vacation. This thread will probably be in the archives when I get back. I'll try to rescue it and dig it out of oblivion at that time.
Peace and take care. |
