No it is the other way round: the little boys have grown up with Dirty Work, the grownups were there when they made their masterpieces...

So why do grownups like Nasty like DW?

BTW, I've grown up with all sorts of things BUT the Stones and I happen to like them above all the others.
Oh, and J.S. Bach too, of course!

(To quote Keith: If only Mozart had had a good drummer...)

I'm 38 and I like Dirty Work. I don't think it was a masterpiece and knew that when it was released. Bt I like Sleep Tonight, Had It With You, DW, BTZ, WU, HS. It's just a different appreciation than the clsasic stuff.

But I have noticed something about Back To Zero - I want to see if others have noticed it as well. I think Back To Zero has the most horrible splice ever done. It comes during an interlude when Mick is making all those Monkey yips. To me it sound like someone did the splice without even listening to the music. Like it was random. They drum beat doesn't even match up. Anyone else ever hear this?

Soldatti Dirty Work is a dated album, that's the main reason for the hate to this record. But out of this it's a GOOD (not very good, good only) album. It got some bad songs on it but also great songs as One Hit, Fight and Had It With You.
It's a 1985-86 dated album, that's all.

jb It was MaxLugar's favorite...I think he worked at a Gas station/garage when it came out and it had a great impact on him if I recall.

Bloozehound I don't think Dirty Work is their crowning artistic achievment by any means, but the only thing that "horrible" about it is that album cover, and a song or two that sounds dated.
