Ronnie was so good on guitar!! Such a shame he peaked too early - he had an excellent gritty, filthy slutty sound and really nailed it. I wonder when / why he went for the cleaner sound!?
Nod is as good as a Wink .. etc is a great album.. |

It's more subtle. Why does everyone think that more overdrive/distortion equals a better sound? If anything, it disguises the player's shortfalls.

A dirty sound imparts the quaility of the playing in my opinion - I know classical guitarists are good, really fucking good but I don't really listen to them. I just prefer a fuzzy/dirty sound.
What does anyone think of A nod is as good as a wink...to a blind horse?
