Somewhat bittersweet....as this WAS the Band as I first saw them in 1975.
Mick and Keith sharing the mic.
Billy was so prominent in that show.
Great memories.

I missed it! We had scheduled 4 shows here (Mexico City) early August but were cancelled.
On one hand too bad, but on the other hand I'm glad they were cancelled as it was typical back then to have wild riots, I'm not sure if the Stones would be alive after that.
There were also schedules shows in Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paulo, and Caracas. That's why the tour was named "TOUR OF THE AMERICAS"

This time of year always makes me think of that day - in Nellie's case, today 3 days shy of the 31st anniversary! My first Stones show was June 30. As I hitch-hiked toward Philly, the sky was blue and the clouds were as puffy as anything Bob Ross ever painted!
Hate to speak ill of the dead, but the only thing I didn't like about the show was Billy. All my older buddies saw Nicky Hopkins on the '72 tour, and I felt a little cheated.
But that's neither here nor there - the verion of "Midnight Rambler" I saw that night is still rattling around in my skull! |

yep...June of '75.
Thanks Mom and Dad for letting your 14 year old only child
attend this show. God knows it changed my life.

(Have to keep checking to see who I am!)
I was 17...I didn't ask my mom if I could go to the 72 show with all my older buddies, but a few months later I asked if I could go see Ten Years After and she said "Sure! Sounds like fun!" And although I was thrilled to go (TYA sucked by the opener, Dr John, was great) all I could think was "WHY didn't I ask if I could go see the Stones??? WHY!!!"

Outside the Spectrum in 1975 the talk was: "$7.50??!! Who the hell do they think they are!!".
That Ten Years After concert I mentioned was $3.50. |

I wish I sould have seen this show! I'm envious of all who did. Yes Mick's make up was running but he was still as sexy as hell. Keith was too! Ah, so jealous of the women that got to see that show! The men too, but if I was there and got to see them at their prime. Oh damn! What a show. |

Great setlist, great photo header too - although Ron's pants look kinda scary. |

Today's picture is a great shot - no credit or caption though, wheres it from?
Looks like its from 1981 or more probably 1982. |

There's a thread about it, it's a stand-still from the movie Let's Spend The Night Together, this one at the Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona 13th December 1981
