Man, Ronnie really sucks on "Worried." But Mick -- what's gotten into that guy? He's singing like he's 19 again! |

I like how Mick lets it loose durring the middle of Thats How Strong My Love is then the aud gives him a cheer!
There ain't a 60yo man alive today that can do that btw... |

Thanks for the postings....it's great to hear the band but Ronnie's solo on Worried About You is pathetic....what the fuck is wrong now? |

RW's solo on all 4 versions of this tune on tour have sucked. It was Wayne Perkins' solo on the studio take - don't think RW was ever really up to a decent replica anyway.... |

Rumors of Ronnie's improvement were greatly exaggerated. I've tried to convince myself otherwise, but I can't anymore -- he's finished as a guitar player. His fingers are like stone.
I hate to say it, but I bet there are any number of guitar players on this board who could do a more competent job in Ronnie's slot.
They wouldn't look as cool, tho.

Yeah, that solo on Munich's Worried is pretty worrying ;-)
I thought the worried solo at the Aragon was good. Looking forward to the Budokan version when this BitTorrent thing gets done...another 27 hours...Where did the 4th version get played ?
Munich's Straycat has this awesome menacingness though...Oh Yeah!

Mick is the star of this tour -- the guy is indomitable. The effort he's putting into these performances -- at potentially great cost to his 60-year-old voice -- is astonishing. |

Luckily, technique is the last thing I want to see on display at a Stones show. |

I'm not talking technique, if by that you mean virtuosity or real technical proficiency. I'm talking the Ronnie Wood of '75-89. That guy is no more. That's what I mean when I say he's finished as a guitar player.

The 4th version of WAY was at the Joint in November. I wasn't particularly impressed with RW's solo at Aragon. Can you imagine him tearing into a song like this in his prime, though? He used excel at this kind of shit with the Faces...ragged, but right....now just ragged and wrong. |

Mick's singing performance on Munich's Worried seemed a bit comical. |
