_Boomy_ I am starting to get interested in this. When I watch a movie, I want it to be an adventure. The picture looks great on a nice system.

Does anybody have a player? I have looked around, but I see that the Playstation 3 has Blu-Ray in the system. Additionally, the cost of the PS3 is at least $100 less than a straight Blu-Ray disc player. However, I've been told that the Blu-Ray in PS3 is inferior to that of a straight player. Is this true?

Any comments would be appreciated.

akula actually, the PS3 player is SUPERIOR and they are selling it at a loss. however I wouldn't rule out HD-DVD.

pdog The fact that there are two competive formats harkens to the days of beta and VHS... Who will win, and how long til the winner is obsolete...
Just give them your money Boomy... save a bit for old age, but spend...

egon it doesn't matter which system will win.
cos in abt 5 years time we will have a format which
will just be chip based. (no more spinning discs)

there will allways be something new & "better"

they are messing with us...
