glencar Honestly, I didn't have a problem with her appearance on "Today" but some of the commenst she wrote in "Godless" are stunning. I bought her rpevious books but I'm having doubts about this one. The line about these women's husbands possibly divorcing them in the future(before they were incinerated) was damned cruel. Her basic point is actually a good one but she piled on too much. She's as bad as Al Franken.

munky What a pig. What an evil pig, and a puppet at that. Karma will pay her a visit; hopefully sooner than later.

sirmoonie No doubt about it, the woman can rap yo' momma jokes with the best of them (even me), but if you use any objectivity at all, the imaginary enemies/conspiracies she kept conjuring up go away pretty fast.

Anyway, it doesn't matter whether she sells 20 million units, she jumped the shark on this. That is just groundless, vicious stuff to say, especially publicly in this manner to make a few more $$$. And talk about kicking someone when they are down - her fellow women for Christ's sakes. Allow her some ignorance - she will never be married in her life - but c'mon, what a fucking sociopath the woman has revealed herself to be.

Keep in mind these weren't remarks she made during some debate or interview - this is in her book, she had all the time in the world to revise it, and I'll bet her editor even wanted it out.

There is absolutey no defense for this kind of behavior, at least not in America there isn't. But I'm sure some Bush geeks will give it a try. Have at it Telecaster, don't let yourself down. Throw in some disjointed piece about how "you" keep winning elections. That should do it.

FotiniD I've read her views online... If you ask me, the woman is a psycho with lots of anger issues... And with a bad sex life, I bet you.

Anger issues seem to be a reacurring theme with these people. They're volatile loose cannons fueled by hate.

lotsajizz I think she thought being 'controversial' would sell more books....maybe she's right?

btw, why do people think she's attractive? she looks like Mr. Ed...

Jumping Jack She has crossed the line, but her basic point that Dems can't make the case on many of their far left liberal agenda positions on their merits and must use "victims" like these ladies in NY, Cindy Sheehan, Valerie Wilson (fake victim) and others rather than Dean, Gore, Hildabeast, so that their points can't be countered is equally dispicable.

If you are simply a victim people generally leave you alone, but if you use your victimhood status to become a political activist you have entered the arena and are fair game. That is Coulter's premise even if you don't care for the delivery. Frankly, many don't care for the NY ladies or Cindy Sheehan's delivery either.

Her basic point is a good one that sadly gets lost in her venom.

FotiniD Found at Wikipedia:

According to a 2002 report in the UCLA Daily Bruin, Coulter has suggested that she supported apartheid in South Africa. The Bruin printed: "In response to a question on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Miss Coulter said she supported the government of Israel for the same reason she supported apartheid in South Africa, because they were surrounded by "savages". She also was disgusted by Nelson Mandela's somewhat socialist policies as well as the African National Congress.

Blank friggin stare!

In fact the Wikipedia article on her has a lot of her views that are so insane, it's like she's doing it on purpose. Read and see for yourselves.

LadyJane Don't EVEN get me started.

My blood pressure has just calmed down from seeing "it" on TV last night.

Nellcote I look for the silver lining.
It's the media stupid that keeps giving
Coulter her Andy Warhol moments.
This will be forgotten soon, as news cycles
are rabid for another story.
The silver lining that came out of this is
that Billary got a major ass whopping
about her rapist husband as a reply from Coulter.
This is the point that this carpet bagger and her
Philander In Chief husband should constantly be
reminded of. LJ, please lead the fight to not
re-elect this trollop of a senator!
I thank you for your support & cooperation.

Damn Nelly....I'm afraid I can't help ya on this one.

She's actually done some good things for Western New York particularly the fight to save Children's Hospital of Buffalo. I was quite active in that cause.

Now....I gotta get out of this thread.

I swore I'd never return.

Word. That pretty much was what I was going to write. She did herself a disservice by going too far over the top.
8th June 2006 09:00 AM
Jumping Jack Any libs here want to defend the use of "victims" as political activists to make a point? It is the political equivalent of hiding behind women and children hostages.
8th June 2006 09:16 AM
nankerphelge I haven't read her book - I have only seen the reports about what she said. I will withhold judgment until I understand the context rather than the hype. That isn't to say that I wouldn't be surprised if she went over the top --wouldn't be the first time for her. But if she is right with respect to these NJ women using their husbands' deaths to push a political agenda, why should Coulter be demonized for calling them on it?
8th June 2006 12:48 PM
LadyJane Because it was a cheap shot that offended a lot of people.

And for what???

She was gloating about the publicity on television last night.

Uncalled for remark even for your gal, Ann.

LJ.

PS....I just dropped "you know what" in the mail, Nanky. No. The envelope will not be ticking, fyi

PeerQueer She crossed the line no doubt - but she will then move another 100,000 copies of the book off the media frenzy of the past few days as a result.

Perhaps she simply needs a proper tongue lashing to bring out her compassionate side?

She does possess spectacular legs...
8th June 2006 01:01 PM
FPM C10 But LJ! Ann must be forgiven because she is just so doggone HOT!

She is the hottest looking female impersonator ever to appear on CNN!

_______

Hmmmm....it would appear a proper tongue-lashing might not in fact be the best strategy.

The legs are still top-shelf though, regardless!

Some Guy Is that a dude?
8th June 2006 01:10 PM
Dan She is like a right wing Howard Stern. Sure, she is often shocking and sometimes entertaining but I was never under the impression she was supposed to be taken seriously.
8th June 2006 01:15 PM
glencar Wrong as usual. She's a right wing Michael Moore. She makes cogent points but ocacsionally she steps over the line. This is one of those times. Although I'm sure she won't back down, even she has to be affected by the shitstorm she kicked up.

texile she's hateful in her stance....
that diminishes any point she might have.

Jumping Jack Raspy, is your point that the young girl in the picture is now a political activist attacking Democrats or once again are you just unable to formulate a logical reply and posting nonsense?

Her words were terrible

Her point is 100% valid

The "Jersey Girls" which are 4 women, have and had 24/7 unlimited access to NBC and MSNBC to bitch and complain about Bush since 9/11 to this day

Chuck Burlingame's (pilot killed on one of the 9-11 planes) sister has a group of widows 10 times as large supporting Bush and his actions

Of course you didn't know that because the Main Stream Media
and hyper mouth Matt Lauer won't put them on TV

But 4 (four) "Jersey Girls" get unlimited access to national TV to constantly complain, as if their suffering is more important than other families suffering for some reason. Because these 4 (four) girls don't like GW they get the bullhorn for some odd reason

Anne's words hurt her point

And she has terrible legs

I have seen cows with better calves than her

8th June 2006 02:02 PM
rocker Id like to "bang" her from the back side for punishment, and pull her hair hard while im doing it.
