NO, I have a total of maybe 30-35 Stones boots. The list shown for 1981 is from a website off the net (I copied a partial list for 1981 to show the Atlanta show).

MrPleasant After finally treating Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking almost exclusively as background music, I decided to stick with artists I've grown more familiar with: George Harrison - 33 1/3; Eric Clapton - From The Cradle; and even Ringo Starr - Stop and Smell The Roses. These are new albums to me, and I enjoyed them all: Harrison's is mellow and unpretentious (perhaps too unpretentious) and Clapton rocks like a monster in some tracks, but I'm shocked (embarrased?) to realize that I've been playing Ringo's 1981 album (actually, alternative versions from a bootleg called Can't Fight Lighting) more often. Maybe I've been too exposed to the Monkees? Probably I just needed to relax, which I did.

Later on, I borrowed Electric Light Orchestra's Eldorado, The Pixies' Surfer Rosa and Patti Smith's Easter. From Patti, I only "knew" Horses and Easter's Because The Night, so this album didn't come as a shock, as neither did ELO's masterpiece (which isn't really any worse than Brian Wilson's Smile, which, I think, has been vastly overrated). I was surprised by the Pixies - mostly because I wasn't expecting too much from them.

I'd never heard their music, and at first it sounded too MTVish to me, monotonous even, but by "side two" I began to feel genuinely excited (in a good way) by their chaotic humor and energy; their style isn't tedious at all: it's groovy. And I wasn't even drinking!

I'll be looking for Stop And Smell The Roses (with special guest, Ronnie Wood), the official release (that is: if it's in print), and, definitely, Doolittle. Ringo's music allowed me to relax (which I needed), and I was nicely surprised by the Pixies. This sounds extremely lame, I know, but it goes to show how you can't know everything about anything (i.e. music).

apart from the warm-up show in Worcester, MA (14/9), all of those 1981 shows seem to be in circulation in some form, with the exception (to my knowledge) of Dallas 31/10 and St Louis.
